I don't see WHY they had to have such a long gap between final shooting and airing the show ... must be a real pain for all the contestants.

Well they see a good way to stir up an already stirred up public. It's a typical thing.
So it's nothing to do with Heather herself, just the way these rags operate.
Just reading TV Week:
Says Lana recently quit her job because she wants to work in the entertainment industry like Laura (they had quotes from her so it seems true). I don't want to sound cynical but reading that kinda reaffirmed my earlier suspicion that she might not be all that invested in Sam...
I do think her lifestyle would suit him more than Snez's though.

I think Sarah's lifestyle would suit him more
1. already all set in Melbourne
2. close to family who also seem very well set up
3. she's keen to focus on her career so won't impinge on his too much
Lana's family AND friends are in Sydney - she says she'll move to Melbourne but I think when it came to the crunch she'd want to be in Sydney ...
and we all know Snez might WANT to leave WA and she's said she's never felt like she "belongs in WA" (not sure what she meant by that) but again I don't think she'd leave family - and I'd imagine she'd have big issues re Eve and her father if she tried to move her permanently interstate

Do gossip rags ever write about any topic/person that isn't laced with disparaging innuendo?
It's pretty much their bread and butter and without it they would cease to exist.Their readership (mostly females) gets off from reading about all the nasty unflattering rumours. They don't read it because they want to be told how perfect and fabulous the lives of A t0 Z celebs are again and again, they read it because they derive some enjoyment from learning that their lives mightn't be all beds of roses after all. And it isn't that different in tone to the gossip they indulge in their own social circles anyway.

This article sums up my own feelings about the contestants who sign up for this show whether they be female suitors competing for the 1 guy or vice versa. No self respecting sheila will ever be caught dead been on it, that's for sure.
It's bizarre to me that 20 or so females are unequivocally instantly attracted to this 1 male suitor they never laid eyes on before much less know anything about him. There's a word (2 actually) for girls like this but I'll keep it to myself this time so as not not cause offence.
If that makes me a misogynist than so be it.

I agree Sarah's lifestyle would suit him the best but I was only comparing Lana and Snez because I have a feeling they're much bigger chances of winning than Sarah at this stage. Sam doesn't look at her the same way he does the other two. We'll see on Wednesday though...
With the "lifestyle" I didn't so much mean the distance. Snez seems extremely career focussed and between that and Eve you don't hear much from her. Lana would fall effortlessly into the post-show celeb couple/club opening, etc scene where I sort of feel like Snez's priorities are now more on her adult responsibilities.

My guess they're really desperate, want to be on tv no matter what, getting paid a significant amount of dosh, or they're in it for the shits and giggles. Who the hell knows, I certainly wouldn't consider going on something like this unless the money was too good to refuse, getting the girl would be an 'afterthought'.

Yeah because those chiropractors and auctioneers are absolutely swimming in it lol.
This is the first year where the guy sounds somewhat well off on the basis that he owns a business but there's no way of knowing how successful it really is.

Not that I don't agree but Chiros make an absolute killing!!!
That said and something Conn severely overlooks is....$$$ = workaholic, in my experience...girls aren't that hot for workaholics.
Haha I actually know Tim personally so I know he does pull in the $ from it ...when I think of gold digging though I usually think of people from the very upper income brackets...especially when a lot of the girls that go on the show aren't exactly in underpaying careers.
