The Bachelor Australia 2015

But New Zealand already have their own The Bachelor (and it is go-oood!). I am watching it on Foxtel currently. Their bachelor is handsome and quite funny, makes Sam seem like bit of a grinning yokel. I think it's a bit lower budget; their cocktail parties have less sparkle and candles, and less bitchface, also.

Yeah and he's a really nice, not up-himself guy too.

Dear Rachel#1

We're all rooting for you - we want you to get your single date - we want Bachie to remember you exist

but please

DON'T DO THIS AGAIN WITH YOUR HAIR!!

Another spoiler alert? 'I've had no contact with Sam': Front runner Snezana says she hasn't spoken to The Bachelor since filming ended... but love rival Heather HAS
By Laura Evans for Daily Mail Australia

It's a love story with more twists and turns than a Jackie Collins romance novel.

And the latest clue as to who wins The Bachelor may lie in Snezana Markoski admission that she hasn't spoke to Sam Wood since living the show, while love rival Heather Maltman has. (living the show ... WHO EDITS THIS!?!?!)

The discovery was made on Australian radio show Kyle and Jackie O when the hosts compared the two front runners' responses to the same question.

It's well-documented that The Bachelor and his chosen woman stay in close contact after the show as they try to nurture a blossoming romance.

However, it's yet to be seen whether Snezana or Heather were being duplicitous in their answers.

Both girls have set themselves apart from the pack in recent episodes with Snezana and Heather securing multiple kisses from the handsome personal trainer. yeah well Nina kissed him for 3 mins and something seconds so neener NINA neener!!

Jasmin on Bachelor Rumours: "No One's Allowed to Speak to Sam Once the Show Finishes"

Bachelor-Australia-Interview-Jasmin-Brown.jpg

Beautiful Queenslander Jasmin Brown last night became the 11th bachelorette to not receive a rose on The Bachelor Australia. After some limited one-on-one time with Sam, and a pretty hilarious date on a farm, it was quite clear that Jasmin and Sam were not a match made in heaven. That said, she certainly made for good TV. Outspoken, opinionated and smart, Jasmin made shrewd observations during every episode and kept us entertained from our comfy couches. The morning after her elimination, we had a chat with her about what Sam's really like, why Heather had them all so fooled, and what she thinks of the latest rumours that frontrunner Snezana isn't with Sam. Keep reading!

POPSUGAR-Australia-How-you-feeling-about-everything-now.jpg

POPSUGAR Australia: How are you feeling about everything now that it's over?

Jasmin: Yeah, I’m feeling pretty good. Sam and I didn’t really have a very strong connection at all, so I wasn’t surprised about him sending me home. I definitely had a vibe and knew that I’d probably go home.

PS: You did say it a couple of times in the episode, that you thought you were going home. What gave you such a strong feeling?

Jasmin: It’s really hard to explain but on the group date I just got this really strange feeling from him, this vibe. I can’t explain it, it was my instinct. I knew that Sam and I didn’t have a connection so it would only be a matter of time.
PS-We-never-really-got-see-you-talking-about-how-you-felt-about.jpg

PS: We never really got to see you talking about how you felt about Sam. What did you actually think of him and did you ever feel a connection?

Jasmin: No, I knew pretty early on in the piece that Sam and I weren’t very compatible. It was pretty clear that he had stronger connections with a few of the other girls so I think, yeah, we didn’t really have that much in common. We weren’t really suited for one another.

PS: What’s he like?

Jasmin: Sam’s a nice enough guy. He was charming on the show and everything but he just didn’t have . . . there was just something missing. It was a spark I guess, there just wasn’t enough there for me.

PS: Do you think he’s genuine?

Jasmin: From what I met of him on the show, yeah he seems like a nice enough guy and like he’s genuine but I don’t know Sam outside of The Bachelor bubble so I don’t really know what he’s like outside of the show. On the show, yeah, he was nice enough.

PS-Do-you-feel-like-you-were-well-portrayed-show.jpg

PS: Do you feel like you were well-portrayed on the show? I know your close friend Emily has come out and said a few things about the way she was shown . . .

Jasmin: I’m not really fussed about the way I’ve been portrayed, I think it’s OK. I don’t have any issues with it; I’ve said everything I said. It may not have been shown in the correct order or there might’ve been a bit of editing, but I said everything. I’m just an outspoken, opinionated person and I wasn’t being nasty to anyone, I just speak my mind. I guess some of the other girls don’t necessarily do that.

PS: You always seemed quite surprised about Sam’s interest in Heather. Why was that? What did you guys see that we don’t?

Jasmin: Yeah, so it’s interesting. If I was the viewer watching it, I’d be like, "Yeah, these two are really into each other." But in the house, when Heather came back from her single date I asked if there were any intimate moments and she was like, "No." She spoke about the friendship thing — she dropped the friendship thing a lot during her time in the house — so she was kind of putting that out there. We never saw them together one-on-one. So going off what she said, plus we just thought they seemed like two different people, we had put them in the friendship zone. Watching it, it’s a completely different story.

PS: I wondered why you guys were so adamant that they were just friends.

Jasmin: Yeah, well we didn’t know that they’d shared an intimate moment. And when she came back and said they’d dressed up as superheroes and were wrestling in jelly, we didn’t think that necessarily was your typical romantic date. We kind of put that in the friendship zone because it’s what Heather was putting out there.

PS: You were close to a few of the women in the house. Who were your best friends and what can you tell us about them?

Jasmin: I was best friends with Emily in the house, we were roommates since day one so we were very close. Also with Bec and Laura — us four still talk daily.

PS: What is Emily really like?

Jasmin: Emily is lovely! I know she hasn’t necessarily been happy with the way she’s being portrayed on the show but I spent a lot of time with her in the house and I saw another side to her. She’s definitely not the princess they’re making her out to be, she’s a lovely, lovely girl.

PS: Who do you think will win and why?

Jasmin: I think Snez will take it out. There’s just a very strong connection between her and Sam and Sam’s mentioned before that he wants fireworks, he wants that initial connection. I think there’s a strong physical connection from Sam to Snez so I definitely think she’ll be up there.

PS: I’ve just seen on Facebook that she told Kyle & Jackie O she hasn’t had contact with Sam since the show ended.

Jasmin: Well, no one’s allowed to speak to Sam once the show finishes!

PS: Now people are thinking maybe Snez isn’t with Sam . . . but we’re hoping it could just be a decoy. Is it hard to keep everything a secret?

Jasmin: I don’t know! I don’t know about that one, but none of us are allowed to speak to Sam. It is difficult, I mean we finished filming two-and-a-half months ago. But we don’t want to spoil it for the viewers. We don’t want to give anything out. It is challenging. When you’re out and you see people from the show as well, and they ask you questions that they obviously want to know . . . but you don’t want to ruin it for them!

yeah right the girl he choses and he would have no contact for 2.5 months ... you'd be calling or face-timing constantly to keep the connection since you couldn't be out in public together ... I'd think they'd be able to get inventive surely and get together

The Bachelor is just another sleazy guy

JUST when I thought my faith in humanity — or more specifically, mankind — had been restored in the shape of Sam Wood, aka The Bachelor, he goes and proves me wrong.
287451-33845c6e-46dc-11e5-b83a-5887e9d6a545.jpg

Sam seals his latest profound “connection” on the show with a kiss. Hate to break it to you, Snezana, but you’re not his only, um, “connection”.

Here is a guy who loves his family, loves kids and is open about wanting to settle down and have children. A perfect recipe for a perfect partner.

But as I plonk myself on the couch two nights a week to watch his journey towards love unfold before my eyes — and that of the nation’s — Sam proves he’s just like most guys.

A player. A tease. A sleaze.

Now before you howl me down and say “You have to try before you buy”, sorry but I just don’t buy it.

I almost choke on my chocolate watching him declare his “connection” with Heather and then five minutes later profess his deep interest in Sarah and then lo-and-behold pash Snezana five minutes after that. Or maybe it’s Emily he really wants to settle down with...

Yes I am all for finding true love and yes I am all for happily-ever-after but stringing along these women is just not fair.

Turns out Sam Wood won’t be the man who restores our faith in mankind. Picture: Channel 10

My heart breaks as each of the women are made to believe that they will be the chosen one — only to later discover he is saying the same thing to three other women.

As I am about to celebrate my wedding anniversary, I keep thinking back to the night I met my husband. I can still see it in my mind — in he walked (late) to an as-it-turns-out mutual friend’s birthday party and my first reaction was “Who the f---k is that?”. There might as well have been no one else in the restaurant that night, and nine years later we’re still going strong.

Yes, there’s different types of love — from the “love at first sight” to the “we started out as friends” variety.

And I get the whole point of the show: a mix of helping bring two people together and pure entertainment.

It being season three obviously means the producers are doing something right (Tim and Anna; Blake and Louise; Ratings and Ratings), yet while it’s highly entertaining it’s also rather sad.

But I’m hooked and just like clockwork, come 7.30pm my husband will clear the loungeroom and leave me be — iPad to tweet in one hand and munchies in the other.

After all, who doesn’t love a good love story -— even if we know it will end in tears for some of the ladies?

These women are not being strung along - they are just players in the game where the ultimate prize is The Bachelor. Labelling the main character in this scripted, un-reality show a tease, player and a sleaze is a personal, misandronistic attack on the poor guy. It's just a SHOW for goodness sake!

So she didn't understand the concept of the show before she watched?
The women who apply know what they're getting themselves into, I'm sure it does hurt getting down to final 3 or 2 or whatever and then being dumped, but they know only one person is there at the end and that's the dice they roll.
If you don't like watching him kiss multiple women then I guess it's not the show for you. No guy is going to commit to someone without testing the physical attraction.
I love it when people get all offended and their panties in a bunch when the show is ALL about him dating multiple women and ending up with one.

Go watch Days of our Monkish Lives or something..

IT’S Episode seven of The Bachelor, packed with nonchalance, tiny pants, and a country dance. Hint: Jasmin does not like those things.

“If he isn’t interested in me, then I wouldn’t want to be with him anyway” she says, understanding the fundamental basics of how liking someone works.

Sam is interested enough to ask her out on a date, exciting everyone except Emily, who reacts the way someone with a normal range of human emotions wouldn’t.

She reminds us that she’s never approached a man, and says she’s been single for six months. I can’t imagine that the two are related.

Sam, who admits to a strong physical attraction to Emily but so far a vast nothingness conversationally, meets her at a beach and sends her on a stand-up paddle-boarding treasure hunt, a romantic tradition from Shakespeare’s time.

You know what happens when people go paddle-boarding?

Following planted notes to various places, Emily says “I had to make my way over to the buoy”, so for those playing at home: she’ll approach buoys, but not men.

She maintains her stoical nonchalance until she sniffs a hint of jewellery in the air, when she glows like a Chernobyl landscape and scrapes at the sand until she unearths a chest with some jewellery attached. Incidentally ‘Chest With Some Jewellery Attached’ is also her new nickname for Sam.

She kisses him and thanks him. I thank him too, because I reckon this much shirtless time warrants four to six blips on the Nipple Count.

The unbelievably attractive humanoids have a picnic and a chat. Sam says “I feel like every conversation we’ve had has been cut short”.

“Much like my bikini bottoms”, replies Emily.

He says “You said you were an open book”.

“Very open. Disturbingly open”, replies Emily. “Much like my bikini bottoms”.

She reveals her overdue schedule for marriage and exactly two babies, they catalogue their various pregnant friends, Emily chants “I am starting to become emotionally invested”, and I have an idea for a futuristic novel titled ‘Reproducing Robots By The Seaside’.

In my story, Robot 1 gives Robot 2 a rose. Robot 2 activates her smug drive. It’s beautiful, man.

Meanwhile at the Womansion, Snezana finds a group date card that hints at a country jaunt, while the girls help Jasmin make an itemised list of the things she doesn’t like.

“I didn’t really want to go bobbing for apples”, moans Jasmin.

Nina tips a whole bucket of water over herself, Sarah strategically sucks the apples towards her, and Heather impersonates a bear with balanced chi, winning the game.

The prize, challenging the traditional definition of the word ‘prize’, is to make lemonade with Sam, because nothing inflames desire like citric acid. They get on well as usual, with Heather employing her customary flirting technique of tilting her head towards her shoulder and saying “stop it”.

The next activity is sheepshearing. Any thoughts on that, Jasmin?

After a total of four clips of the shears, it’s time for a barn dance.

Jasmin finally finds something she likes doing: teaching the girls the Hick Hokey Pokey.

To Jasmin’s unsurprising disdain, Sam asks three girls for a private chat outside.

First Heather, who gets a little teary conducting a thorough analysis of her life to this point. Sam is supportive and gives her a peck on the cheek.

Next is Sarah, who gets a little flustered doing all the giggling and using all the words in random order. Sam is charmed and touches her lightly on the leg.

Finally there’s Snezana, who gets a little ridiculously beautiful and endearing without talking endlessly about herself. Sam is besotted and gently and romantically mashes his face against her face.

Blushing like a work-experience girl at a MAC counter, Snezana worries that she’s broken the Chick Code by pashing on a group date. Okay, a) you’re probably the only person the other girls wouldn’t mind losing to, and b) the Chick Code doesn’t actually extend to televised barn dances with an 8:1 gender bias. You’re cool, Parmigiana. Carry on crumbing that schnitzel.

Before you can say “Sheep Aren’t Really My Thing: The Jasmin Diaries”, we’re plonked suddenly into the Rose Ceremony where Sam volleys roses at the deserving.

Emily, who already has a rose, has no need to make the Pick Me Face, so that baton is passed to Nina:

AFTER each episode, we ask The Bachelor’s host-with-the-most to answer five of our burning questions about the show.

Read on for Osher Gunsberg’s take on that very public pash, the real deal on Emily, Heather’s increasing threat as the final rose winner and what to expect when The Bachelor returns.

Princess or proper ... Emily has the women at The Bachelor wondering which side she falls on.

1. Heather posed the question last night, but we’d love to know your take on it: Is Emily a princess, or is she just really proper?

For a start, I’m very impressed that Heather gave Emily the benefit of the doubt there. She said, “Is she just really proper? Are we missing something?” Is she a princess? I don’t know — what’s a princess? Are you a princess because you like things in a particular way or are you just particular? I don’t know. I’d like to think that she was just very, very, very particular about how she likes things.”

Alone time ... Sam Wood and Heather had more opportunities to get to know each other.

2. Still on Heather, did Sam taking her for two alone times on the group date mean the women finally realise she’s something of a threat?

“It particularly got under Jasmin’s skin, didn’t it? It harks back to when Emily said, ‘Well if he’s into that type of girl, he can’t be into me.’ Because Heather is so unlike the other ladies. And it’s nice to see that Sam has a genuine interest in exploring what’s going on there. And what’s more threatening — if he’s interested in a woman who is exactly like you? Or if he’s interested in a woman that’s got nothing in common with you? That’s the question.”

Secret smooch ... Sam and Snezana let their lips do the talking during the group date.

3. Let’s talk Snez and Sam KissGate 2.0. Did she or did she not break the group date girl code?

“Is there actually a girl code in this situation? Other than don’t date your best friend’s ex-boyfriend without permission, all bets are off really. Are we in this show to not pash anybody? Come on! I thought it was quite thrilling. And good for them. They clearly have a physical attraction and it’s nice to see that the two of them are getting closer and closer. And if they’re able to pull it off, great.”

Not cut out for country life: Jasmin (fourth girl from left) was unimpressed by the “simple life” group date.

4. Did Jasmin sign her eviction notice the second she got squeamish about touching sheep?

“I don’t know if she was signing her eviction notice, but Sam’s doing these things to figure out if these women can get into the things that he’s into. And I think it’s totally fair enough. You’ve got to like the same things and you’ve got to hate the same things, that’s how it goes man. That’s how it goes.”

5. Last but not least: spoil us up for next episode Osher!

“Nina drops the pash bomb on the girls. Was it deliberate? Was it an accident? Did she say it to stick the knife in? I don’t know, but I can tell you that the different reactions to the exact same information are absolutely fascinating.”

There's something about Jasmin and her lips that that instant inflate when she's making a point which puts me off. Her lower jaw gets rather elongated and it makes her look aggressive and loses any attraction she may have. As she has a long face anyway, it's exaggerated when she does it. Not her fault with the shape of her face but her fault with what she does with it. No, I correct myself, it makes her look like she's from Kath and Kim.

I'm legitimately curious how her body manages to hold those up.

Then again I'm a tiny person so I have no idea how large breasts work.
