The Bachelor Australia 2015

In Tim's season one of the girls got jewellery at this stage in the game. It was a product placement thing. So I say the producers would have told him to do it for that and also because it'd make the other girls jealous and they'd get some drama. Emily is the perfect candidate given Nina's comment in the preview about her being a princess. It'll really piss off the other girls.

Methinks you're salty because Emily got something:wink:
Bit like this:
new_pi45.jpg

already said its not because I don't like Emily and favour some of the others (Sarah, Snezana and yes Heather) ... the whole jewellery giving thing just is really not sitting well with me ... I know they are time-pressured etc etc and things develop quicker ... but a guy finally takes me on a date and has already got the jewellery sorted out beforehand ... I'm hitting the ground running - the guy is after something and thinks some bling is the answer = wtf is wrong with this guy that he has to buy me something in order for him to believe I'll want to spend time with him??
plus I'm the type of crimmy that gives the jewellery back at the end of a relationship because it was supposed to mean something and no longer does so I'm not going to be wearing the stuff ... and I'm not mercenary enough to sell it ... so there it is ....

another thing I don't like about it - its like a cattle prod to make the other girls feel hurt/jealous etc ... and really - does Emily need their help in order to make the girls feel that way towards her? she supposedly oozes sex, is a princess etc etc = they are already feeling threatened by her ... and her attitude at times wouldn't help with that it would only feed it more ... way to alienate Emily in a way too?

its like they can see three relationships happening organically and they can't be happy with just that so now they're going to push the Emily/Sam combo forward AND get this Emily girl more invested in the deal by bribing her with bling. I truly hope she's not that impressed by it and it doesn't work the way they wanted it to!

I'm like that too lol but then I think dammit I could have worn that!
I really don't get what is so attractive about Emily.
She's basically a 10 physically, as with most 'tens' she's a complete bitch and high maintenance.

when she's looking around distainfully at everyone else or making snide comments or bitching with Jasmin = nothing at all

but then that's what production are feeding us - same old formula - suss out the sexiest/prettiest girl who the other girls feel is more of a threat to them than others and make her out to be the mean girl

would have liked to see her challenged in the ground hog date to be honest ... we NEED to see the real Emily not just their manufactured ice princess

Yeah, they push the jealousy hard on the show. They want the girls having meltdowns and fights, etc. I don't think they really care if they alienate Emily tbh...they'll use her whatever way they see fit to cause drama or try and create any doubt that this isn't an obvious 3 horse race (until the newbies arrive anyway).

Physically I think she's stunning, but I don't know...there just doesn't seem to be much life about her which makes her difficult for me to warm to. Some of her comments have just increased the dullness/superficial vibe for me.

Maybe It's Time to Give Emily From The Bachelor a Break

Melbourne advertising executive Emily Simms was a standout on the new season of The Bachelor from the get-go. She's got all the essentials for a show like Bachelor: beautiful, smart, funny, good in front the camera . . . and she gives a great eye-roll. So much so that it seems to be the main focus of her time on screen. Though she had instant chemistry with Sam Wood when she met him, we really haven't seen much of her since — except when she's shown rolling her eyes (usually in Heather's direction), scrunching her face (when Nina scored a date) and generally being kinda . . . hard to crack, as Sam himself put in last night's episode.

Of course, as we know, not all is as it seems in the reality TV world. After last night's episode, Emily took to her Instagram account to vent about how she's coming across in the show. "I am going to do something I have been told not to do by people in the biz, and that is to be honest about how I feel," she said. "I have been in tears tonight, not because of the nasty things social media trolls are saying, but because I am a very sensitive, kind and loving person. I could never be cruel to another person. I am nothing like a b*tch. Reality shows decide the 'characters' for each of us before they even start filming. This is well known about reality TV. So for my funny, joking, laughing at myself, silly side, to not be shown at all, is really very upsetting to me. Soooo many hours of footage, and all they choose to show of me is that I found Heather annoying."

We already know from our revealing chat with Heather that Emily is not the mean girl she's coming across as. When asked about her relationship with the 31-year-old beauty, Heather said, "One of the things that really impressed me about Emily was that we were exercising one day in the house and she sat me down and just goes, 'I'm so sorry, I was wrong. I'm really sorry. I judged you at first glance but I get you now.'" Maybe we can take a lesson from Emily's own experience and give her the benefit of the doubt — after all, her Instagram reveals she's built strong relationships with a number of the other bachelorettes. Like it did last year, the sisterhood may just triumph over the trolls.

No way lol she'd walk out and Sam would have known that.
Those chicks were chosen for that day because they needed to be fleshed out a bit to Sam.

Emily won't warm unless she knows there's definitely something there, the fact that Sam likes Heather probably quashes Emily warming up, she will go soon imo.

and yet she outshines Heather in the sexy stakes ... and perhaps even in looks ... and seems very confident in her looks ... so if she did actually have an interest in Sam why would she let the fact that he seems to like Heather or any of the others as a reason not to even TRY?

that's something I definitely don't get about her and what makes me question her motives for being there in first place ...

Because she probably doesn't want to be rejected for Heather, not so much because she dislikes Heather but because she's actually insecure as well.

Emily and Snez entered the show (maybe even Nina) for different reasons than the other girls imo, it's more of a 'why not' rather than anything else.
Snez is a freaking doctor, if anything, she could do better!

The only chicks I think are a truly bitchy on that show are Jasmin and Rachel (although hers is subtle).

so I googled (because it was bugging me!) ... there were 6 intruders last year and they boosted the total number of Bachelorettes back up to 15

so ding ding ding - we must be very close to intruder time now!!

Apparently one of the new girls (Lana I think) goes a long, long way. It'll be interesting to see how far because you'd think it'd have to be some instant love at first sight stuff for her to reach/beat the connection he already seems to have with Sarah, Parmi and H-Bomb.

It seems it hasn't clicked for her that she needs to be more proactive with her interactions with Sam. That all she has to do is look beautiful and he'll come running to her. But when there are so many other good looking women wouldn't you try to do something a bit more to stand out?

I'm pretty sure Sam Frost received a necklace with her jewellery store date. I could be wrong but I think that was when there was only 6 or 7 left.
Yeah I thought so.
There wasn't many left, still with last year it was massive promoting.
