The Bachelor Australia 2015

I caught that scene for a moment before switching to the ABC for Gretel. It was pretty :wtf: and lame.

No offence to any of the Bachelor watchers here but I just can't get into this show. It all seems so artificial. I just can't believe you can find love in a situation like this and most of the content is contrived.

The state of FTA TV this year particularly in this period is alarmingly bad.
I was working night shift on Sunday night and the FTA was appalling. Never seen it so bad.

Well i don't believe in love, I just watch the show for the competition as well as seeing how they interact with each other.

yeah I saw something that said the cat videos program was the most popular FTA show last night.... cat videos... the interwebz is full of them... if that's the best TV can do they have problems.

I started watching the bachelor online as someone I used to work with dates the brother of one of the girls, and i got curious.

That cat video show actually appeals to me more than what most of the other FTA networks are airing. LOL. But yes it does say a lot about the quality of TV at the moment.

Oh and you and everyone else in here don't need to explain why they like The Bachelor. You like what you like and I like what I like. I just wanted to rant and be bitter for a moment. Haha. :shy:

Oh it's utterly ridiculous, highly scripted, trashy television...but I still find it entertaining. It's obviously artificial. It has to be. The whole concept is majorly messed up unless you take it for what it is...entertainment.

Saying that though once in a blue moon the show actually does lead to love. Tim and Anna from the first series are still going strong. I find that in itself very surprising but still it's great for them.

lol feel free to rant!! (And I love cat videos too, just sad that is the best on tv!)

I don't like Jasmine. Everyone's idea of beauty is different but her face is so angular, sharp and harsh.

Sorry to see nutso Sandra go, she was one of the entertaining ones.

OK, everybody except reepbot is crushing on Heather, including me...but does anyone think she is a good match for a sporty jock kid fitness instructor. I think a large part of her attraction is thrill of the chase/competition/intellectual chip on her shoulder to win. The attraction tonight was quite good, but I'm not sure I can see them growing 40 together, let alone old.

Jasmine had reminded me of someone from America next top Model - worked out who it was - Brooke Saricha. Maybe it is just me me though :conf:

Have a sneaking suspicion Sam might put Heather out of her misery very soon. He seems like a decent fellow (unlike last year's twat) who is decisively sorting through them straight up, and he wasn't giving Heather green lights.

I think it's easy to picture yourself with someone when they're just hanging out, having dates etc. You can just get to know the person without all the 'real-life' distractions of lifestyle, friends, location etc. I see them working out more than I do the princess type of person who is scared to get dirty (in the sporty adventure having fun way).

Hmmm, I read their chemistry as quite strong tonight and Heather realised she needed to push the romantic side. I thought she did really well.
