The Bachelor 2 (2014)

Anyone watching the interview on the project? The first part just finished and the first ad in the break was a casting call for the next season of the bachelor. I hope Ten do a bit more digging on the new guy this time around.

Well well well

So it appears they were more like "friends" for a couple of nights in South Africa (according to Sam) right after the proposal (when the cameras switched off), and he broke up with Sam face to face in Perth 5 weeks later, stating it wasn't right. Says he is heart broken, lol.

Carrie quizzed him if there is someone else, Blake just said "Its not the time, still getting over this heartbreak" also said is getting over the heartbreak of letting so many others go on the show

Sam said Blake didn't even try to give it a go, felt him being stressed out a little after the proposal, so kept the distance and were more like friends. Feels numb about him now when asked if she still loves him. Sam was only wanting one engagement ever, and was upset that Blake took that away from her without even trying to give it a go. Said she cried a long time when he broke it off

Seems strange. It's like its was all an act for Blake? Not sure if that's fault of producers for picking the wrong bachelor, or something miraculously went wrong when the cameras were turned off after.

Just crazy he did the proposal though, and all that saying he's never been sure of anything in his life.

I also tend to wonder what his mum and Aunty think of it all, after all the grilling they put Sam and Lisa throigh to see if they were genuine. Probably should have done it to Blake as well.

Seems like Louise is on the outer from Lisa and Sam, does the plot thicken??

Sam said she wasn't angry with Garvey for what he did, rather "disappointed, which is worse".
She added that Bunda has given her the $58,000 engagement ring to keep and will remodel it for her.

Sam's comments come as she and Lisa, who have remained tight friends, appear to have snubbed Louise from their social media pages, "unfollowing" her on Instagram and deleting her from their Facebook accounts.
Sam told the Daily Mail on Monday she hadn't even noticed she wasn't following Louise and has "no beef whatsoever" with her.

But the bubbly blonde from Thredbo, NSW, was also excluded from a pool party invite on Lisa's Facebook page.
Lisa, who herself has publicly denied she's pregnant to Blake, tagged 12 of her former housemates in a post captioned "Looking forward to SOAKED with my Bachelorettes," in which Louise was noticeably absent.

That's quite interesting. When he said he wasn't dating "anyone knew" I assumed he had probably gotten back together with his ex...the one he apparently broke up with to go on the show. That's interesting with Louise though. If there's one thing I learnt from following last year's BB HMs on SM after they left the house it's that unfollowings are never random occurrences.

I really think they need a break from another season of the Bachelor - they need to do The Bachelorette next season if only for ratings purposes.

To be honest while I think this has been bad for the show in the sense that they'll find it hard to sell the story next year (to the people that had genuinely believed in it) the scandal and mystery has created so much hype and attention I reckon it will be a good thing for ratings and bringing in new viewers next year. There's probably just as many (if not more) that are more interested in following the scandal than those wanting to see the Bachelor and the winner being a happy couple. This year there has been so much more attention following the show than last year when the pair actually stayed together.

Not sure how much of an effect it had but it was so much easier for me to see The Bachelor this year. Last year much of it seemed to be on when big brother was on but one good thing of 9's crazy timeslot of bb this year it has allowed me to see other shows such as the bachelor.

Same here. As much as I hated BB getting pushed back for The Block it was also good in a way because it allowed me to see the Bachelor before it started :)

I sent Sam a tweet as did many many others
from me: "I think you dodged a bullet Sam. You are too good for that pretender. Wishing you the best"

Sam replied back to the nation in the early hours this morning.......

It sounds like he felt he had to get engaged to her to root her, and then it was not a good root. That's my delicate take on the chemistry going away. They never did have forehead sex, did they. Hmmm...

I'm thinking he's with someone else. Probably Jess.

It's not Jess. She mentioned on radio this morning that she's 100% single.

I'm thinking there's some credence in Louise perhaps being his now love interest, given the social media rejection by Sam and Lisa.

If so, that it is Louise, I'm wondering what she's now thinking after seeing the show herself and the media fallout post finale and the hate Blake is getting universally.

Would she want to be with him given everyone see's him so negatively, and rightfully so. Has she now changed her mind also. Could this be the reason behind the heartache he talks about?

Apparently, going by what Sam has said, he distanced himself straight after the cameras stopped rolling and the last 2 days in South Africa they didn't hang out really... hard to have sex given those circumstances.

I read somewhere where she said he was always on his phone. Perhaps calling Louise trying to restart things there and admitting to her that he got it wrong - and then once back in Aus he never spent much time with Sam, instead secretly catching up with Louise instead.

Something to think on until all is revealed, maybe

The above interview paints him in a better light.

- he didn't break it off for any other reason than that they didn't have romantic chemistry.

- he is not seeing any of the other girls at the moment but didn't necessarily guarantee that it won't happen in the future.

- no one is pregnant.

- he broke up with Sam face to face.

- he has only spoken to Lisa since which was set up through Sam.

- there was no forcing or absurd amounts of pressure from the producers for a proposal.

- he is back at work.

I honestly believe now that he just went with his heart and he wasn't feeling it so he called it off.
Which is reasonable. That's what everyone does at some point throughout their lives.
The fact that he proposed is what makes it seem hard to believe. But, I know very well what it's like to get caught up in a moment.
Imagine having no contact with friends/family for several months. Living and breathing lust. You're bound to start believing the fairy tale is real. Once reality sets in back home, is obviously when he realised it wasn't what it seems.

I feel for Blake now. I mean obviously I feel for Sam too, she would be heartbroken. But it seems like Blake wanted it to last as much as she did.

I hope they both move on and fine love and happiness, which I'm sure they will.

Just watching The Project and they said they have Sam on tonight and this time she's at the desk. So it's a live in studio interview. It seems like this whole thing is neverending!
