Quite simply, she has been unfairly maligned purely for being eccentric, relentlessly scorned, bitched about daily etc etc by a cabal of nerds who should know better
And she responded by rising above, not trying to bitch in return, just continue being her eccentric self.
Along the way we see her home life was at best strange.
Then as time progresses, the bitching and backstabbing gets worse and worse and worse. Yet she remains above the fray.
The kid is a weird one, but she has some backbone and principals.

I'm team Layla-Estelle-Sam because of their group bonding strategy. They gelled with each other and without the harsh ultra-critical super-cynical strategy employed by team Michael-Zoe-Stacey-Ben.

I think the same, She's boring like George & Ava. If she was evicted 6 weeks ago nobody would care.

She shows integrity more than anyone else in there. She is obviously slightly insane..in the bestest way. She is tough as nails but soft as butter. I just 'get her'. I dig her. Word. Hahahaaha

Thing is, on pure entertainment Ben and Michael are WAY above the rest. They are funny, quirky and flawed, great to watch.
But they are both incredibly mean spirited, game playing nasty bitches who should know better. Hence, they can go get FFFFFUUUUUU for all I care.

Agree Fonz. Ben is by far the most entertaining but his character is so flawed and he doesn't seem to see it. Doesn't have much humility, bit of a sore loser and the bitchiness and two-faced behaviour..its just unattractive.

It's all about the comparison to team Michael-Zoe-Stacey-Ben, those 4 are oh so venomous. Compare Estelle's approach to every day life, and Lalya and Sam. They acknowledge and appreciate the brighter and colourful side of life, whilst the venomous-4 spend their time plotting, scheming and generally exacerbating each other's shallow insecurities.
Not saying either way of life is right or wrong, but the lighter side of life appeals to me more I guess.

Well, Layla is now saying she can't stand Estelle. She's being pretty critical of Estelle now, but given the contant HM 180s, they'll probably be best friends tomorrow.
Estelle must be very irritating to live with. Just about every single HM has made this comment. I still don't quite understand why, but there is obviously something that they see which the rest of us don't.

In any group there is a pecking order. Estelle was allocated bottom rung on the pecking order because she was, and was viewed as, "wierd". Estelle failed to behave the way those on the bottom rung of the pecking order are expected to behave because she refused to accept the allocated position. This refusal to toe the party line threatened them and, as time went by and all their efforts to break her down failed, they began to feel enraged by her.

It's because Estelle doesn't fight back. Zoe said something to Layla, she replied more assertively, then after she left the conversation and went straight to the diary room to winge.
And the other person (Estelle) shuts up after 30 sec of argument and allows Zoe to say everything. So obviously it's alot easier to say crap about/to Estelle than others. (that determines pecking order).
We all winge about something, if u can be happy, ur going to be sad no matter what..about anything, Estelle is easy target to take the stress off.

For me the reason why I vote Estelle this week is because they won't get over it all ( she's using her sorcery to woo Michael ect ect ) If they would all just stfu and get on with it then I wouldnt care. I vote to piss the other HM's off.
