Good to have you in the chat Febs! Hope you can get through the trash ASAPI watched to see Gretel, too. Seeing her brings back so many great memories. No one else has ever come close to her since she left BB.
I'll be recording it as I have so much trash already backed up to get through![]()

I'm off sick with some kind of virus so I'm hoping to catch up all today. I also sucked in and subscribed to YouTube premium as ads were driving me nuts lol
So just watched Ep 3 and my goodness Beau is just terrible with his lame jokes and "banter" with his pit stop sidekicks. So tedious. And his voice is like Scott Cam which makes it even worse. Gretel and Epiphany are killing it! The TikTokkers are painful. The young pottery judge guy was wayyy too lenient. And if I'd accidentally chose painting over scrubbing I'd have switched to the other task the moment I found you you had to do the sanding.

I think, therefore I am, I think ...

I used to really like Beau, but I went off him a bit last season. So just watched Ep 3 and my goodness Beau is just terrible with his lame jokes and "banter" with his pit stop sidekicks. So tedious. And his voice is like Scott Cam which makes it even worse.
I saw him bragging (or kind of bragging) to that wee Asian bloke that he'd been a football player, and the guy didn't look interested at all!

Youtube premium is the one subscription I feel is justified to pay for. I watch YouTube every day, a lot for background noise and I refuse to watch ads. Especially since I come from the generation that tee up with it, I can’t handle ads at all.I also sucked in and subscribed to YouTube premium as ads were driving me nuts lol
Omg agree times a million! That scene of him telling the pit stop greater he was a rugby player and is really strong made me eye rollSo just watched Ep 3 and my goodness Beau is just terrible with his lame jokes and "banter" with his pit stop sidekicks. So tedious.

The REAL LB
I never watch Australian TV but thought I'd give this a go because 1) Gretel. 2) I like the US version.
But everything about this embodies how trash Australian TV is and why I never watch it.
1. Absolute no bodies being labeled as celebrities.
2. A host with generic Hamish and Andy vibes that I have to skip past every time.
3. Far too much fluff. I want to see them travelling and doing tasks, not hearing about their life stories or constantly commenting on what we've already seen happen.
4. General subpar production values. TV from Temu vibe.
5. Endless replays of events to pad out the run time.
6. General cringe of aussies travelling.

It's just so tedious. The poor sidekicks have to pretend they have a clue what he's on about and laugh at his "jokes".That scene of him telling the pit stop greater he was a rugby player and is really strong made me eye roll
Also he touched the monk several times. Not supposed to touch monks!
Yes, a lay man can touch a Buddhist monk, especially if it's for a practical reason like applying medicine, though it is generally avoided in Asian cultures out of respect. Laypeople should not initiate physical contact, such as shaking hands, and should instead use respectful gestures like the anjali mudra (palms together, fingers pointing up). In any doubt, it is best to refrain from physical contact to avoid disrespect or scandal.
Having said that, I have received a hug from a monk, one of my friends at the pagoda in Phnom Penh. Also there are lots of gay monks but that's another story so that remains a fantasy. Oh no did I say that out loud. Better stop now.
