Tasks ideas for 2025

I hope they bring back decent tasks for the house in 2025 - the rubbish by 9 and 7 really have been terrible

The one thing I thought was good was the tasks they had to do, not the rubbish ones in the later shows (fond memories of the M&M counting task) They really need a task that occupies them and impacts them if not performed properly, like the below idea.

Bicycle Generator Challenge/Task

Two bikes in garden area (so still needs to be done in rain and wind)
They need to be occupied by two house members and constantly pedaled at a minimum speed, what this does when both are pedaling at the required speed it activates essentials in the house such as :

1 : Keeps pool/spa operating, pumping water etc – if not active no house member can use until it is active. If no one pedaling at required speed everyone has to get out.
2 : Lets the water in showers be warm as well as allows the showers to actually run.
3: Allows the lights to be switched on.
4: allows the cooking facilities to operate (microwave, over, etc)
5 : Keeps a below speed siren from constantly operating though the house when above minimum.

Each pair can only be on bikes for exactly one hour and must be replaced by two new members (based on a roster) with an allowance of 30 seconds between when bikes are not in operation.

The task will run for three days at 24 hours a day.

No house member can take the place of another house member who’s rostered time is on the bikes without BB permission

Minimum speed to be determined by BB, but not a slow perambulation of the pedals, it must be something pretty good (maybe a minimum of 10 - 15 km per hour ?)

Post either a financial reward (food budget) or a special reward (special dinner) for completing, with lesser rewards for not being 100% successful)

Ie : if both bikes keep above the speed minimum for the full 72 hours the reward is 100%

Reward diminished by a percent equal to the percent of time the bikes are below the minimum speed against total time.

I wonder if anyone else has any views or decent ideas for a task to keep them busy instead of bored just laying about ?

I think the tasks where housemates had to come together to learn a new skill always land the best and are the most engaging to watch, I’m thinking about the Ballet task in 2006 and it actually brought a lot more out in the housemates than I originally expected from them.

I like my tasks to unify the house and I like my nominations to create conflict

I do like a cardboard box task once in a while but it gets really boring watching housemates waiting for the task alarm to ring so they can actually do something.

Any where they’re forced into close proximity to each other and also sleep deprived. Ie chained together and on watch for something for a few hours.
Oh and please use electric shock suits 😂

The ultimate endurance challenge - watching all 100+ episodes of 7's "Big Brother" back to back.

Just wasting a few minutes, but the following could be interesting, and probably expanded

The Carnival Game.

There will be a room set aside for a weeks worth of carnival games with the outcome determining who will be up for eviction. As each individual players progress is kept secret until the end no one will know where in the eviction list they sit and will be encouraged to keep on trying.

Players will not be permitted to discuss their results or forfeit a reduction in points as penalty.

Games

Ring Toss – Each day players will have the option to throw ten rings at a set of bottles with each bottle worth a different amount of points (twelve bottles scored 1 – 12)

Laughing clowns - Drop ten ping Pong ball down the clowns mouth to see where it will end up (scores from 1 to 6 points per ball)

Darts – Throw ten darts at balloon and gain points when popping. Balloons will have a different pointy worth hidden inside

Duck Pond – Ten attempts to fish out plastic ducks, with each having a points number on the bottom

Wheel of Fortune- Spin the wheel once a day for points or prizes. (prizes being things like food products for either the individual or whole house) Chance of losing points on wheel

Ball Toss. – Throw five balls to knock down moving targets – Targets have a hidden point value

Skee-Ball - Roll ten balls towards the points target to see how many they can sink into the points holes

Beanbag toss - Five beanbags need to be tossed underhand towards a series of holes and points gained by putting the bag through a hole

The carnival will run for five days and each player will have half an hour a day in the carnival room (order randomly determined each morning) to complete as many of the games as they can. Players can only be in the carnival room during their allotted half hour

The points they earn will be totalled up at end of carnival and the bottom three up for eviction. Players will not know their totals or any one else’s until carnival is over.

and free candy floss with weird flavors - The bitterest candy floss in world,

Maybe winning stuffed dolls of Big Brother (or their fellow housemates, see who can get a full set)

Hah, maybe an escape room challenge when they enter with the slowest to escape evicted without entering the house

If they had had such a challenge on the most recent channel 7 season 90% of the housemates would have never made it in.

Each contestant is given a taser, every time big brother yells “taser taser taser” you have 10 seconds to shoot your least favourite housemate

How about we have them stand infront of the Mexican flag, dressed as jockeys, with giant hands trying to catch shit?
