Episode Survivor: Titans vs Rebels - Episode 15

What do you like the best about this season of Survivor?…

  • …the tribals are fun to watch but not long enough…

    Votes: 0 0.0%

  • Total voters
    8
Whether you like Feras or not, he read the what was happening. Caroline, Kitty & Valeria aren't the brightest, they gave it away.

Feras was the one that said go for Eden.

With one vote to count, Jaden would have been the only one to know that Eden was going.
Although that vote was perhaps the biggest blindside on viewers of the series the structure of how they always do the votes pretty much told us the direction both votes were going in. Generally if your name is first out of the urn you can sit comfortably, though I think they broke that rule with Winna the night before.

… I totally agree Brekkie… as you say… as soon as the Pags starts reading out the names… if yours is read out first (especially when your name is the first 5 out) it generally means you’re safe… you’re not going anywhere… the next name out generally means that it’s you that’s going… that being said… it’s become such a predictable formula that it actually spoils it for you… instead of arranging the votes for the ‘dramatic effect’ Pags… how about just letting them come out in random order for a change?… it would add to the fun of guessing… cheers.

I watch Australian Survivor Talking Tribal.

Chrissy Zaremba is so dumb, she has no idea what is happening.
I’m watching this now Kas and I just want to slap that Chrissy. Talking about the history of quitting in US Survivor and Chrissy is all like “it’s 26 days, nobody should be quitten that show”, and interrupting Shannon when she is talking about Jeff and saying “Its Jonathan”.

She interrupts people and loves the sound of her own voice. So bloody annoying.

It’s not really the Pags choosing. According to Nick Idanza who I chatted to once about the whole process, the whole of tribal council can go on for like 3 hours, I kid you not. The Producers have a round table discussion for a time period and place all the votes in an order intended to maximise the effect. The Pags is prolly milling about there but he’s just the showman. Whether or not he has a big say there is debatable.

But I assume as the years roll on and producers come and go, that he has more of a stake in those kinds of decisions. I agree that random reading potentially makes it far more interesting, I wish they would do it.

Another thing which I been thinking about is where they sit. That is all very carefully planned for every tribal council. They don’t just meander in from the beach from
their tribes, sometimes they are walking up from a shuttle bus and milling about for a time, and rehearse the entry and they would know beforehand where they are gonna sit.

Eden thinks Jaden didn't know what he was doing when he voted him out. I think he's wrong, and that it was a well-executed act of revenge for Winna. Because Jaden had immunity, he had nothing to lose if it went to rocks (though I believe he didn't know about rocks).
It comes across more as Eden feeling stung that he was not the Survivor mastermind he thought he was.

I dig the preview we get at the end of talking tribal for next Sunday’s episode.

Ferras is telling us he is making a fake alliance - a final 3 pledge with Kitty & Caroline which we see him proposing. I just love his sneaky voice in the whole thing, but anyway.

I actually think that would be a great move forward for his game, and if it’s fake like he’s making out then that’s probably not such a good idea. That’s an interesting dynamic.

Exactly - randomness always works better than trying yo manufacture things, even if it means tribal ends after half the votes.

Was the same with Eurovision - the results in no specific order could create drama but when they changed it to maximise drama you always knew the act who came into the picture later in the process would win.

In the recount vote, Eden's name was first.

I think that's why Feras was shocked, that Raymond was saved.

He knew exactly what he was doing. He said in his final vote for Eden: "This one's for Winna, lad."

Eden just never thought Jaden had any agency.

In the interview with Eden on talking tribal Eden basically says the same thing so yeah it backs up what that post was saying and what people have been saying here about Eden. Nice guy but he needs to get off his high horse about being like some ultimate kind of guru strategist that everyone can learn from. He tried to build a resume but got himself voted out in the process.

I'm just amazed no-one had the emotional intelligence to realise Jaden would be upset about them throwing his closest friend in the game to the wolves in the previous tribal.
…they don’t give a fig about Jaden that’s why… as far as they’re concerned… while they were in two tribes pre merge… he was used as his tribes ‘brutus beefcake’ powerhouse to win challenges… they didn’t care what he thought… “just win the challenge and shut up Jaden”… he did just that… “good dog,… now just sit there until we need you next… roll over… good boy!… now here’s a tummy rub and a dog biscuit… now stay!”… he then blended into the background and shut up talking…

…now they’ve merged they have no use for him… now they see his strength and power as a threat…”Jaden’s got a brain?”… then using his vote the way he did the other night… they’ve realised now that he does have thought processes of his own… they will perceive him as an even bigger threat now merely because he would’ve surprised them with what he did… “Jaden’s got a brain and thought processes of his own?… how dare he… let’s get rid of him next!”… I can see it now… cheers.

I've never found George so right.

…George was not the master tactician that he was made out to be… he was only as good as what Survivors producers made him out to be in his edits… they were the ones that manipulated his time on camera to make him the ‘master tactician’… it followed the narrative that they wanted for the show… the promos etc… it was a “what will the mastermind George do next to change everything?” type of shit in each promo of the show in the end to the point of absurdity… what with the 150 idols that the producers more or less handed to him… he only survived as long as he did because of them… he was no ‘master tactician’ by no means… he was far from it… and… the sad part about it… George really believes in his own hype generated by the producers… what a poor sap… he’s definitely a legend in his own mind that’s for sure!… a ‘master tactician’ my arse!… cheers.

…now… Feras’s turn… Feras is by no means a ‘master tactician’ either… even less to the extent of George in my opinion… Feras is playing a character… he loves the ‘smiling assassin’ tag that he has been given… since someone within camp gave him that tag… he’s gone with it because it paints him as an intriguing and sinister type of character that is also a ‘masterful tactician’ that you must have on your side or you will be his next victim… he thrives on this perception of his character that he’s playing… he thinks now that even people outside of this show in the future when the show is finished will now think that of him in real life…

…everything about about Feras is opportunistic… as his character especially… when he ‘plans’ something and it luckily works out for him by sheer chance… everybody goes “wow!… you’re a mastermind Feras!… how good are you!… we better keep you on side!”… then he remains safe for a while… but when everything that he ‘planned’ doesn’t by pure chance fall his way and fails… he just stops grinning and sulks with that stupid look on his face and stops talking… then everyone thinks “he’s not grinning or talking anymore… watch out… the ‘master tactician’ is thinking which of us are next… I better lay low so that it’s not me”… his ‘character’ that he’s playing has them all running scared… his ‘character’ that fell into his hands by pure chance… he didn’t even think it up… someone called him it… he ran with it… it was a role sent to him on a platter…

…whenever he goes into grinning mode he’s panicking on the inside and thinking “what the fuck can I do to get myself out of this?… he has no plan… he has no idea… he has nothing!… then what usually happens… something by pure chance comes along and gets him out of the shit just in time… if that didn’t come along you would’ve found him curled up in the foetal position somewhere in the jungle and crying out loud “what am I going to do?… what am I going to do?”…

…they could easily all band together and have him out Sunday night but they’re all too scared to do it… what?… why?… has he got the ‘Rasputin the mad Monk’ vibe about him because of how his handed-on-a-plate character was given to him free or something?… it’s a role handed to him that he’s milking for all its worth and that’s it… he’s a phoney riding the notoriety of his fake character as far as I’m concerned…

… as Elaine above says… fake fake fake fake… and… don’t even get me started on what I don’t like about him… he gives me the irrits… as I said before… ‘master tactician my arse!… cheers.
