Survivor Season 33

Probably to make the boot less obvious, it's nice to mix the edit up a bit, her name was put out there in the episode though which is essential.

This has been a very unpredictable season for me which I've liked. I don't expect that to continue forever but I'm liking the rollercoaster ride so far. I don't like Adam much but David is still a favourite for me.
 
I'm enjoying it a lot more than I expected. It looked like it was going to be a dreadful coupled up cool kids season, so I'm glad that part of it is over and the remaining millenials have to scramble a bit now. It resulted in Will actually stepping up in the immunity and starting to play rather than cruise.
 
So, this... this! is the marvellous and vastly superior US version* people kept referring to as they made protest posts in the Aus one, a-moanin' and a-groanin' and carping on about the bad/foolish players, the dodgy edit, etc! And where are they now, as we ponder this pinnacle of perfection, Survivor Season 33, full of bad/foolish players and with an odd, overcut edit, particularly of the pretribal machinations??? Nowhere to be seen!

I am enjoying it enough, but forget it's on most weeks until I suddenly remember in time to record it. Looking forward more to Season 34, even after I unfortunately stumbled by accident on spoiler list of the contestants.

*have watched roughly thirty previous seasons, btw

33 is good, but I wouldn't put it in the top ten.

And on the flipside I have been dreading 34 since I saw the castlist.
 
Have to agree @Melore. Our first proper Survivor had more spark to it than the current US season (which I'm not minding, but there are far fewer interesting people).

Haven't seen the castlist for next season yet.

Nobody said it specifically was the best season EVA, as it had not screened then - but there were a lot of dummy spitters on the daily show pages of Australian Survivor refusing to watch any more and saying they'd wait for the real thing to screen. And here it is! The Marvellous US Season 33!

It is way better though. At least it looks like these people are there to play the game the way it should be - vs the Aussie survivors who want to make it more of a struggle about morality than it needs to be.

what don't you like? that its returning players or specific players? Don't understand why they need to have two winners,let someone else have a chance

Am I the only one who thinks that this current season is pretty bad? It's not as bad as seasons like 13, 19, 22, 24, 26, and 31, but in general it's just really uninspiring. It's like they combined the terrible editing of the Cook Islands/Fiji era with Cambodia's focus on all gameplay and no personality.

I also think that this season has been the complete opposite of predictable tbh. Michaela's boot is the only one that was truly suspenseful. The first six boots were all painfully obvious, and Michelle's was only marginally more unpredictable.

it is and they have some really stupid people too
 
The cast list for season 34... I'm not really that excited by the choices. It's about half and half for me - about ten I liked, and ten I either never wanted to see again or who were pretty unmemorable. Could be a good season if the interesting ones stick around.
 
Oh yeah, and the cast list for S34 is pretty bad, I'm not excited at all. The boot list is also interesting, depending on its accuracy of course.

It was a small handful of the Aussieplayers who played that way, not the entire cast. Glad you're enjoying it.

Yeah, that's much where I'm at. Funny, as there are people there I am thrilled to see, so I should just focus on that - but the inclusion of a number of them just made me really deflated and exasperated. (Will make sure to shake my fist first episode!) I don't like spoilers at all, would rather the surprise. But there is a fair bit of good news in that list.
 
I'm happy with Ozzy and Malcom..guess it's a showdown to see who is the better Island boy
Tai will be interesting to see if he remains the same or steps up his game play
 
Just watched the last episode and I'm bored with it all to be honest. I have totally lost interest. I was sooo excited and engaged with the Aussie version and this has me completely ambivalent. I am not even sure I want to finish the season.

lots of overrated players. there are probably only 2 players that stand out as people I wanted to see play again.

They are:
Michaela and Tony. I like Sandra but I am pretty doubtful that she'll be able to go 3 from 3, and it sucks that her legacy will be tarnished in that way as a result.

But yeah, the overall concept of returning players is getting tiresome.
