Episode Survivor: Brains vs Brawn - Episode 12

Wow the time completely went over my head! I am blindsided wow. They did a really good job at hiding that. But no explanation given????

…well… that was a turn up for the books wasn’t it?… Ben chose to go home for some reason or another… (Cowies post is the most likely reason lol!)… overall… a better episode than last night’s one for me except for all the fucking idols popping up faster than Acne on a teenagers face… fuck you Producers… thanks for the fun tonight folks… nite all… sleep tight… pleasant dreams… cheers.

This series is a shit show - everytime something potentially interesting happens production kill it off.

Had to think who on earth Ben was. The off screen exit suggests there is more to his exit than they're telling us.
Yeah I do agree that the non eliminations always seem to follow a really interesting scramble where a big player was about to go. I wonder if that’s intentional though?

Online a lot of people are speculating if Ben was involved in sexual misconduct akin to Dan Spilo in US S39. It’s very odd that we got no confessionals from him wanting to leave the game and no final words.

Kate and Morgan do not follow him on Instagram and the rumours suggest the misconduct involved Morgan.

We likely will never learn the truth behind this, if that’s the case then I don’t expect production to reveal anything, nor Ben. It’s all speculation but still very strange.

Surprised too they told Brawn immediately at tribal rather than holding it back to just before the vote. Suggests perhaps they had more pressing priorities than filming tribal.

Will be very telling if there is no reaction from the tribe in the next episode - hiding the truth from viewers only invites unfavourable speculation which is not fair on anyone involved. It's never a good idea to leave the internet to fill in the gaps.

FWIW Ben claims he got an injury in a previous challenge which was aggravated in the hoop challenge and then upon arriving home was diagnosed with pneumonia. Odd nothing of that was shown - do they even film the winning tribe after the Immunity Challenge?

…I meant to say this last night and it slipped my mind… I wonder if Ben noticed the deliberate Production interference with the idol manipulations and saw it as a step too far… that he has no chance of winning… that the Producers have already chosen their winner… so why bother going any further?… I know that I wouldn’t… they have given no explanation for his departure… (family problems… health problems etc)… no doubt after they get time to think Production will think up some great reason for him going… (private reasons for instance)… then we will never know the true reason…

…it’s been so blatantly fucking obvious that the amount of idols and other clues have deliberately been put in so as to fulfil Productions narrative… to make sure that their preordained winner actually wins this in spite of whoever else actually has a chance of winning by their own merits… what really pisses me off is that Production think that we viewers are so fucking stupid… such imbecilic morons that they think that we won’t notice these things and that we won’t comment on it… fuck you Production!… we’re a lot more smarter than you give us credit for…

…and one last thing… I have some questions to ask… why does Production now feel the need to run ‘storylines’ or ‘journeys’ for their favourite selections now?… they used to let things naturally work themselves out and a true winner triumphs in the end… why play around with an up until now brilliant and fair formula that we’ve always enjoyed before?… are the ratings now sliding?… is the Producer on a massive ego trip and is making it so that his favourite wins no matter what?… what the fuck is it?… why fuck around with a true and tried formula at this time?… it’s so fucking wrong… and so disappointing… fukkit!… I’ve said enough… cheers.

JLP also calling on the show to axe non-eliminations and just cast a couple more people instead. Don't really think 26 v 24 would make much difference.

All they really have to do is drop 2 episodes, there only needs to be 22 eliminations. And if they really want a final 3 then all that needs to be done is maybe have the launch, or the tribe swap or even the merge be a 2 parter. The number of days doesn't need to decrease nor do they need to include a convoluted twist.

Depsite the twist being loathed by fans, Redemption Island would probably benefit the show and kind of matches the vibe of Australian Survivor. That way at least everyone has an equal chance of returning once voted out and the episode count doesn't have to alter. There are just much better ways at solving this problem.

Ben is married and has kids. You might want to be careful and respectful at throwing out wild “accusations/rumours”.
I’m simply restating what’s already been said. I am not the primary source of this information. Don’t try and insinuate otherwise. And furthermore don’t give me morality advice. Please and thanks x

These 'wild' accusations are ALL over the internet, and have been for weeks. @Zcsund1234 did nothing wrong by mentioning those rumours and wasn't disrespectful in any capacity. Get back in your box.

…yet another fucking clue?… I give up!… cheers.
You haven't been watching the US series Mr Sticky. lol. You would love the amount of advantages and 'island secrets'. There are so many that literally everyone experiences an advantage at least once now.

I'm all for idols and advantages, they are a great plot device and contribute to making things interesting. Hell, even tribe swap generates a compelling story. For example we would not have seen that side of Zara if that had not happened. Now we know that the minute she gets something in her favour she will show herself to have zero compassion at all, she's all in it for herself and will laugh herself hysterically to the bank and give you the finger while at it. Some people are awesome characters on the bottom, but as soon as they're on the top they turn into complete self serving wankers!
And I also feel (personally) that they push a very good number of idols and advantages into the game. I *wanted* Myles to find that idol. I did not want any of those other fucks like Ben or Jesse to find it. Christ can you imagine Ben finding that idol...... And him going into merge with an idol. He's already invisible enough as it is. He's like guaranteed top 5 unless that new Kate's alliance can get together and sort that out.

So this idol finding is a plot device and clearly has me engaged. And Sticky enraged. lol

With regards to Ben disappearing from the game. Yeah, it is very mysterious. How hard is it to get one camera guy over there to film a goodbye message? I was actually thinking in my mind that it was PD, the guy that got injured? Shit it's not. I only just realised that I was typing 'Ben'. FFS. What the hell happened!

Just started episode 13 and there is no mention or discussion about Ben. Yes this definitely raises conspiracy theories!

It really shits me that the show doesn’t cover any of it and sweeps it aside like nothing.
