If they were smart they would not geoblock so they get the ad revenue from overseas people watching, especially when it is being marketed like that.

They can make money if they sell it to overseas markets

I doubt all the countries involved will buy the rights to air it in real time though so fans will get ruined by spoilers. Casuals will be happy to wait til it airs in thier country.

you are assuming all counties will buy it or have access to it through a streaming service. I have serious doubt the countries outside of US (South Africa, Finland, New Zealand, and Canada) have this high on the priorities to purchase, especially if Survivor is not big in their country. The only Survivor on TVNZ+ in NZ is Survivor UK. I am pretty sure NZ usually plays Masterchef Australia on about a 1-2 week delay (or more).

Nz has the rights on paramount+ I believe. And on Amazon prime all seasons of survivor Australia are available

Or.... just or.... Channel 10 could get ad revenue too if people want to go there and watch it - if they don't geblock they will get more ad revenue. My whole effing point.

It airs months later in the UK. Most the world cares about US Survivor as much as they care about the Superbowl. Not at all.
