Sunday Double Eviction

Some thoughts:
- It was up in the air whether or not this season would be extended from 4 to 6 weeks. Production could have received confirmation either way and made a decision based on that?

- 4 weeks could mean they realised they need to get people out ASAP.
- 6 weeks could mean they also want to get people out ASAP but also now have time for an intruder
- I also think that production is very aware that there are ways for people at Dreamworld to communicate with the house. I can see a scenario where they are okay with promoting this as a double because there is a massive twist we don't know about like the ad seems to suggest, like a secret fake eviction or some other twist?

The shocking twist is most likely that it’s a double eviction. Not for us, but for the housemates.

So, it is a double eviction, huh? Good. It'll keep the housemates on their toes. Are the housemates aware that it's a double eviction? I could have sworn that during nominations, they only said one would get the cut.
According to the HMs, the show is due to be wrapped in less than 3 weeks. They’re expecting to get culled pretty quickly.

So does Jane want out and they talked here into waiting till Sunday or do they want her out ?

Voting for entertainment purposes ???
So much BB controlling happening - I really suspecting they're rigging the vote outcome

I know we all knew this but this is way too short for any big brother format. If they did a 3 month one again, and did it right, it could be extremely popular for such a run.

If only there were four... Some would say production is protecting Colin, but although I would absolutely *love* to see his confidence rocked by being up for eviction, perhaps that would ultimately be his saving grace, because he would potentially change tack and drop the "bro/bruv/dude" BS for a more normal-seeming persona. I'm clinging to my faith in humanity that as soon as he's up, he's gone.

Also with Jane and Mia out, that core boys group + Holly will just pick off the other housemates one by one, we might as well fast forward to the final already.
There's dissent within the ranks though. Secretly, the bond between the boys seems pretty flimsy. I would love to see a scenario where they pick each other off, because let's face it, if there's one thing you can say about them, they're arrogant, and probably see each other as their biggest competition.

Surely it's gonna be a double every week?

BBUK had 8 people in the final week this year, it was a bit ridiculous and 6 in the actual finale..
Since BBUK returned 3 years ago there have always been 5/6 people in the finale and with BBAU emulating the current BB UK era so closely I am pretty sure it will be the same case here.

Pick off some of the HMs on different days. Double evictions every Sunday loses that excitement appeal that we had in the 2000s. Have one or two snap evictions, or announce one the day before it happens. As the Theorist said, HMs have said the show is due to be wrapped in less than 3 weeks. And they have 12 housemates to get rid of in that time, assuming no more intruders (which at this point, given we're talking a 4-5 week season, wouldn't make a huge amount of sense, but we may still get one).

At first, I was fine with all the bro, brev and the other words he says, but now that it's been well over a week, and he says it every fifth bloody word, it becomes grating.

I’m sure parts of your comment will age well 🙄

I’m usually not one to preach about losing “big characters” but in this case it comes at the expense of having more room for production to push the Golden Boy saga. As for the rest of your comment it should be obvious that throwing in a double at this point was not their original intention.
Mel’s bit in the double eviction promo 10 are airing was recorded (judging by the dress she’s wearing) on Monday night so production clearly planned for and knew about it.

Why then it took until Wednesday night for it to be announced rather than after the nominees were announced is puzzling.
