Skye Appreciation Thread

the highbrow sophisticated stans love to leave their skidmark on the skye thread as some sort of rite-of-passage
Can I just say your post about others playing the game getting praise, but skye doing so is the opposite, spoke volumes to me. I mean I already defend the girl, but that post hit a nerve for me. So true.

It's become the norm for some, mock Skye because it makes you cooler or something.

She will probably get highest save votes again this week and then the knives will really come out from David/Ryan (Dry for short?!)
Not sure what to make of the latest ad with Leo having a red hot crack at Skye for something she's doing that he doesn't like.... Looks like she's in a white room?

I don't know what to make from Leo and Skye's relationship. She is acting like a 20 year old would, he is acting like a 30 year old would. I think he gets annoyed with her for not acting the way he would, but how can she when she is still transitioning from an adolescent to a newbie adult. His expectations for her are unrealistic in terms of how he wants her to be and act. But even then, as a woman, if I needed to clarify or justify every action that he considers wrong- get out of here! I do not have time to worry about your every criticism of the way I behave and conduct myself. Skye enjoys him as a friend and I think he is pushing for more on her and is getting frustrated with her for it so just becomes bitter imo.

I have to watch the clip properly again.

IMPORTANT:

Does Skye have freckles or is it glitter? I need to prove a point to my roomies that she does have freckles and that I am smarter than them

For the record, I don't have a foot in anyones camp - quite frankly I couldn't give a rat's chocolate starfish who wins this ridiculous 'contest' and the only time I truly enjoy its torturous banality is watching people cry on eviction nights. I am - however, quite observational and have noted the following -

Ryan's passive aggressive,

David's about as 'strategic' as....I don't know - rugby league,

Dion is a douche,

Cat is predatory and morally corrupt,

Lawson's a dill,

Jake will never get a recording contract,

Lina's dull as dishwater and probably a god-botherer,

Tom is so boring I have to use word-association to remember his name so I'm like "Doctor Who, tom baker, who is that guy, tom. His name is tom",

Travis has never had elocution lessons - ever,

Priya's an Indian,

and Skye - all editing aside, has a fairly repulsive personality.

So I guess I just don't quite understand all the support for her, given she's quite a piece of work and that in this day and age I figured young women (in particular) would rail against that sort of thing, but whatever. I actually think the show would be poorer without her, but then I want to see her completely meltdown when she gets evicted so maybe in reality (no pun) I'm cut from that same mean-girl cloth. Athough obviously I'm much more stylish as opposed to that tacky jersey shore look she's got going on.
