4. Drew & Jade being put up in eviction 1 when they PASSED the task!

The end of that challenge was so stupid. Of course housemates are going to say it was fake when Big Brother asks them specifically if they think it was, with no penalty for being wrong about it. They had convinced basically everyone then BB makes it completely obvious by asking them about it.

The voting can't be rigged because that would be illegal...

However the producers edit the show how they choose, we see what they want us to see.

Also, I feel like 'vote to save' has a massive impact on the people who stay.... voting to evict meant that the families of the housemates couldn't 'rally' for votes...rather, if they wanted to keep their family member in, had to spend a lot of money evicting everyone else, and families probably aren't as willing to do that.

Voting to evict is wayyyyyyy better (I know some people disagree)

voting to evict or save was probably the best method

Yep! This was the first of MANY blunders by Alex. The more I think about it the more I realise that (apart from the hm's) this season stinks!

There was a penalty if they were wrong (automatic nomination) but it was still really shitty. Why why why did that end it like that? They passed that bloody task for sure.

alot of people have been saying that the show is rigged?!?!

i was just wondering if anyone can list all the times it has been rigged, like with evictions and house mates getting special treatment that sort of stuff

thanks :)

Terri winning was rigged.

The housemates could evict someone on day one. They evicted her. BB didn't want her gone, so they gave her a task in the house to earn her place as a housemate again. I think it involved that party boy Corey. She failed the task. Big Brother let her become a house mate anyway.

On the final eviction night they said they would not show the faces, just the percentages. Terri wasn't winning. So they then showed the faces next to the percentages. With Ben winning. They said they wouldn't show the graph again. They were saying stuff like, 'If you want Nanna Terri to win, remember to vote!'

They then extended the voting period, running the show longer. Then they showed the graph again with Ben still winning. They then appealed to the audience to vote for Terri if they want her to win. Then once she was winning, they closed the voting lines and she won.

Yep, Terri winning that season was ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!

this year the editing is very bad. 20 mins of 24 hours you can get what you like.

I hope they bring back vote to evict and vote to save next year. It was fun. :)

I was gonna make a separate thread for this but I think I'll post it here considering the topic of this one.

I was thinking about the SMS confirmations and how they've suddenly removed them for this final week. I thought it was a bit weird, considering they've done it every other time except this one. Maybe they don't want a repeat of the week Ben left? If our votes aren't going through, there will be no way for us to know since there's no confirmation anymore. Anyone get where I'm going with this?

I could be totally off, but I thought I'd make it known (unless someone else already has. oops.)

God I don't remember that, but it's fucking shocking.

But anyone who thinks the actual votes are rigged is a moron, and there are A LOT of those morons on Facebook whenever someone like Estelle or Tully gets saved repeatedly. If the votes were actually rigged it would be a national scandal, people within Southern Star and the phone company would face serious criminal charges, the phone company would lose its reputation and face potentially crippling commercial consequences, and the show may even have to be dumped.

I agree with most of what you say, especially your last point.

But The voting can't be rigged because that would be illegal... this is a bad opening to an otherwise sound opinion. I's equivalent to saying climate change is a myth because Tony Abbott says so. Scary.

Oh no... But climate change IS a myth.

1. Ed always getting through

2. Ben getting preferential treatment on many shows (even though I liked him)

3. Ed/Jade date on the night Ed should have been evicted

That's all I can think of now - basically Ed & Ben have had preferential treatment in my opinion. I'm sure there is heaps more. Might add more when I think of other ones.

Oh yes,

4. Drew & Jade being put up in eviction 1 when they PASSED the task!

5. Sharon getting minimal air time the 2 weeks before she was evicted.

I can answer number 1 - Ed getting through had to do with his family's frequent voting. Ben would've been in the final 3 if the heavy family voting wasn't behind Ed.

i dont think the voting is rigged but i do think the producers at channel 9
dictate who they really want to win BB regardless what the public want
over the yrs people like reggie 2003 trevor 2004 the logans in 2005
aliesha 2007 i doubt its worth voting as all it does is fill their pockets
TAHAN will win regardless what the voting percentages say
I want TAHAN to win Jade second timmy 3rd
This isn't the first tv show where they already know who wins
look at some of the other shows clearly the winner was predetermine

Have you ever thought they aren't doing sneaky edits or dodgy schemes to favour one housemate but to favour them all? They make tahan look better than she is, more votes for tahan. They make jade look like the underdog victim, more votes for jade. They make tim look like the loveable prankster, more votes for tim. With the vote to save, all this means is more money for big brother.

i don't think it is rigged, but i do believe that they manipulate the footage to turn each housemate into a "characters". they want the more interesting characters to stay because they make better tv. And obviously things are taken out of context. a podcast interview with Alex M, he says that Tim, goes to the Diary Room more than any other HM, HM's spend ALOT of time talking about what task they will do next, will this week be a surprise double eviction etc etc... which obviously doesn't make good tv. listen here: http://molkstvtalk.com/featured/molkstvtalk-the-podcast-s03e20/

I also think you get a slighty different view of the show and the housemates depending on how you "watch / interact" the show. Sometimes the live feed updates on the website make the characters lines a bit more blurred, and in some of the post eviction interviews (ie. radio / online etc etc) you sometimes get a bit more of a peek into what the HM s are like.
