OMG - Is Prisus Losing Her Powers?
It seems poor Priya, affectionately known online as Prisus (due to her prophetic powers of prediction), may have been one-upped by the big man upstairs. Big Brother that is!
After unknowingly nominating 22-year-old Aisha for the $20,000 Self-Eviction Power Play, Priya confessed to Big Brother that
his latest curveball well and truly knocked her for six.
“I must admit, I did not see this coming at all,” Priya told Big Brother, making special note of his surprising decision to “up the ante” by involving Travis too.
Although Housemates are warned to “expect the unexpected” and know that the entire world of Big Brother can turn on a dime, Priya has long prided herself on her personal powers of perception, prediction, and persuasion.
Priya’s Eviction predictions have been mostly spot-on, as have her presumptions about how each Evictee would alter the dynamic within the House.
Following
Sam’s Eviction last week, she projected astutely that Sandra would crumble without him, but that Aisha would remain strong despite
Travis’ (Fake) Eviction.
When she was bestowed the powerful Head of House title this week,
she made it her primary goal to dissolve “Team Sandra” (comprising Sandra, Ryan, David, Lawson and Cat) and immediately set in motion a plan to isolate Sandra from the group.
And while Priya can’t be credited with
Sandra’s Eviction this week, she did contribute personally to
Sandra’s Nominations points, and it’s safe to say that “Team Sandra” has been successfully deactivated!
But it’s not just her predictive powers that have been a little shaky this week; Priya’s persuasiveness might also be wearing off.
Not only is she one of this year’s most Nominated Housemates, alongside David, Travis and Cat, but the “Team Sandra” leftovers suspect she’s not being herself.
“If Priya doesn’t go home, I am honestly baffled,” Ryan told fellow Nominee David following Sandra’s Eviction. “The longer she stays, she builds this confidence, but it’s not a positive confidence, it’s a real arrogant confidence.”
This follows an earlier “Team Sandra” group chat in which Ryan vented that Priya “annoys the hell out of him”, to which Lawson agreed that her relentless use of the catchphrase “O-M-G” was forced.
She also ruffled feathers amongst her own disciples by
suggesting to Skye that Leo’s interest in her was more strategic than romantic, which unsurprisingly went down like a David-dad-joke.
Of course it’s the Australian public she really needs to keep on side...
What says you? Are you a follower of the Prisus faith or a non-believer?
