Ryan is a hypocrite

I think Ryan did his reality tv homework before he went in, which makes sense as his flatmate did Amazing Race and he is mates with Matt from BB last year. It is a fairly standard tactic in the first third of Big Brother to just sleep all day and avoid annoying people, so that personalities like Katie and Lisa can just get themselves voted out.

That phase is over now, and Ryan knows his allies, knows who he wants to beat, and is ready to play. I hope a few of his allies get their heads into the game - Sandra, Lawson and Cat, I am looking at you - and that his enemies organise an effective resistance.

Let's play Big Brother.
If he did come into the house with a full game play mind set.. He should have gravitated towards Travis, Skye and jason. But I don't think he could control his emotions to put himself I'm that game play mind set. I think the best game player in there is prob jason and priya.

And they both identified Ryan as their threat.

To play you need an opponent, and Ryan has chosen Travis and Skye as prey, it seems. May as well get out going for the six as for a forward defensive.

He is a jackass. The reason why we don't see much of Ryan even when sam and lisa claims that he is funny is because he isn't funny enough. If he was remotely interesting or funny we would have seen it by now. Big brother wouldn't air something that isn't funny or wouldn't intrigue viewers. Frankly he has nothing to offer. Aside from bitchiness. He was obviously attacking sky when he said he didn't understand how someone can be so bubbly all the time. He has intent but twisted it around to mind fuck her. That's all he is good at doing. Such a bitch ass girly move. Typical of girls. Seeing as how he grew up with girls. Another bitch ass jab was when he told Travis he wouldn't be friends with him on the outside world when Travis was trying to patch things up. He is a pussy. And has pussy mean ass followers like sam Sandra and lisa. Get him out of the house. He doesn't deserve to win.
YOU COULD NOT HAVE SAID IT BETTER

I don't see any hypocracy. He, David and Sandra were clearly raring for a fight with Skye, so he picked one, and did it in a way that she could feel, but not talk her way out of.

I find Ryan to be the funniest of all the housemates. I enjoy watching Skye too, but my take on that fight was Ryan twisting her words and making her look stupod. I couldn't believe it when I saw the reaction online, because I thought Ryan was disp'aying some really interesting reality tv skills. Different to Skye's set of skills, but equally fun to watch.

I am really enjoying watching Ryan and his crew starting to take on Priya and hers. There is no cool/misfits dichotomy this year. As I see it it is just two groups, neither has the power right now, but they are eying each other off. Priya knows it just as much as Ryan does, and actually it would be interesting to see Priya do something along the lines of what Ryan did when he was playing with Skye. I would be better than Lawson moaning about making people proud whilst trying to dump Cat without dumping her, or watching another Jason confection.

Anyway, I am enjoying Ryan, and really liked his moves the other night.
You thought that was playing with Skye....WOW...I thought it was more like humiliating and bullying her, and not at all enjoyable to watch. I thought it more cowardly because he never did honestly answer her question , he just skated around her because he was called out on how he treated her and could not own up to it truly.

It couldn't be that he was up for eviction that made him want to start playing???? And the fact the he is friends with Matt from last year says it all ...both are and were boring to watch...no personality...and Matt left ...let's see right around now????

He was totally humiliating her, or trying to, and taking great pleasure from being able to make her look bad or stupid in front of his friends, so, yeah, he was bullying her too. I thought it was really fun to watch. He never answered her question because he was able to avoid answering it, whilst forcing her into uncomfortable positions with his rhetoric. He can not own up to it because he is tryingto win a game where people try to manipulate others, and she is popular and smelling of roses, so he tried to throw a little muck.

He is nothing like Matt, either. He is way wittier, way smarter and much more callous. He is a fun player to watch for me. I would like to see what he can do when he is sparring with an equal.

I think this guy is heavy with Antisocial Personality Traits. I don't think that he's much on empathy, as in feeling it, but intelligent enough to 'know to show it' as it's a quality valued in society.

Time and time again, I see his mind working to always have in mind when addressing something or someone, that he's also talking to and trying to influence other HM's and the public as well.

He is a very cold individual, calculating and unmoved. It's like he thinks emotions, buts doesn't feel them. Even in the letter home to a loved one it read as distant and with an agenda, even though emotive words were used. He pitched it as much to the public as to his parents, even mentioning he hoped he was coming across well.

He seems to enjoy conflict. Seems to enjoy belittling, bullying and baffling others and bemusing himself. He admits to an explosive rage like anger and I sense at critical mass he could be dangerous.

There is a meanness to him, in his face, in his actions and when dealing with those he feels superior to. I see him as remorseless, deceptive and unable to feel guilt or take responsibility.

He has been through the Mental Health system when he dealt with depression as an adolescent. I think he picked up more than a few tips here on how to manipulate others further and how the system and society works. What is expected in society and how to pass, albeit some traits can't be suppressed and are readily seen as several of us have noted. Though, I'm sure he'd have answers to cover these if challenged.

Last night we saw him going for the sympathy vote when mentioning his fathers situation on becoming a full-time carer for his mother. Those with DSM-V - Axis II personality disorders traits, Cluster B (Narcissistic, Histrionic, Borderline, Antisocial) will use anything and anyone to advance their position.

Jason and Lawson have also done this as Tully did lastyear.

That said, we all have traits of different personality disorders, falling somewhere on a continuum from adaptive to pathological. For example, narcissism assists those whom succeed in business and at individual pursuits of excellence. I'm not diagnosing the guy or boxing him in, but for the use of context and discussion it can help understand him.

Sociopath? I have been trying to lay my finger on it, but because I have only really started paying attention to him I didn't really notice. You are absolutely spot on. I am intrigued.
