Prince George is the perfect doting brother in first official pics of new royal bub Princess Charlotte
Princess Charlotte christening date announced
FOUR family photographs of royal heirs Princess Charlotte being cradled by her big brother Prince George have been publicly released by their doting parents.
The informal images, taken by their mother the Duchess of Cambridge Kate, are the first taken of the royal bubs together since the princess was born on May 2.
One image released by Kensington Palace on their social media Twitter and Instagram accounts, shows Prince George wearing an immaculate white shirt with blue trim gazing lovingly at his sister nestled into him with his hand resting on her waist.
The image was instantly retweeted and attracted hundreds of “cute” comments.
Kensington Palace began putting out teasers on Twitter about the release of the images, taken about a fortnight ago at Anmer Hall, the Cambridges’ country manor.
The royal parents decided to release one image on social media ahead of the mainstream press, in recognition of the hundreds of thousands of people who had been following the palace’s tweets in the month following the birth of the princess.

In all, four images were released by Prince William and Kate, who fancies herself as an amateur photographer, and were taken as a series.
Her father Michael Middleton publicly released photographs of baby George that he took of his grandson at a similar age, following his birth in 2013.

“There was a very warm public response when Princess Charlotte was born, which was very much appreciated by the Duke and Duchess, and so they wanted to share this with the public,” a royal insider said today of the social media released image.

The 10-bedroom Anmer Hall was given to William and Kate as a wedding gift by the Queen and underwent a $3 million make over in time for the family to take residence.
Much of the upgrade related to features that would provide the family privacy; the pair have been fiercely protective of their privacy and releasing images of their family growing up keeps inquisitive paparazzi at bay.
The home is about 3km east of the Queen’s Sandringham home should the children want to see their great granny.

The release of the images comes ahead of Princess Charlotte’s royal christening next month in the church of St Mary Magdalene, near their home and the same church where her late grandmother Lady Diana was baptised.
The princess’ full name includes those of her grandmother Diana and also Elizabeth.
The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby is to conduct the July 5 ceremony.
