One word: NarcissismI'm going to bump this.
Someone give me some insight into this.
People that change their profile pic on Facebook multiple times a week, sometimes in a day!
I change mine like once every few months if that.
Thinking that the world cares about your minutiae as much as, if not more than you do.

A girl at work is a bit like that. Every so often she changes her profile pic and the same wedding one makes reappearances. I noticed that last time I looked at it that her husband has his mobile in his pocket. Nothing spoils a nice line of leg in a suit that the rectangular outline of a phone. I think I saw a photo of Bachie with a similar outline. Puts the whole look off.A relative uploaded every single photo taken of her wedding ... I change mine maybe twice a year, if that. My photo on here is my fb photo and yes, it is me. A selfie at work after having my hair done. Is my top blue and black or gold and white?I'm going to bump this.

They are wanting those likes so bad. And they want compliments so they can turn around and say something like oh no I'm hideous, you're way hotter etc...I'm going to bump this.

It probably falls under the same reasons mentioned already but there's also an element of 'one up-manship' about the need to constantly add/change pics in a social media account, proving to all and sundry how awesome of a life they lead. *whatevs*Thanks guys I do think it might be narcissm but more vanity than that, I do notice those that do attract a lot of DRAMA.

Update re: my rant. Turns out Telstra and Optus forget they'd turned off the copper wire system in my area, so I can no longer uses ADSL and had to move to NBN. They gave me a number for NBN sales and I put on my best angry voice.
And signed up for a NBN package with Foxtel and my mobile included for less than I was paying before. All he had to say was "Food Network" and "HBO" and he had me. I'm far too forgiving

my rant is over a simple request I make when ordering a Cappuccino
I don't like burning my tongue on overly-hot drinks ... so I request a Warm Cappuccino ... and I add "with extra cold milk" because WARM doesn't seem to be a word that computes in the cafe staff's brain
even then I get a blank stare and a "Huh?"
"Warrrrrmm ... you know ... NOT hot .... little bit of extra COLD milk please ... I don't want to burn my tongue when I drink it"
last time I got into strife with my order because I decided I wouldn't bother with WARM ... I'd simply ask for a Cappuccino with extra cold milk please so its not too hot ...my Cappuccino arrived with a little jug of cold milk beside it ... gee thanks ... first I have to burn my tongue to drink some of it before I can pour the cold milk in to make it .. you know ...WARMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Am I asking for a half double decaffeinated half-caf, with a twist of lemon??? nooooooo
*sigh* I sound like a demented idiot ... but its just a little frustrating to have to go into a long explanation over something that is so easy!!

I'm no barista but I heard on a couple of occasions that a true cappuccino should be warm and not hot anyhow?

It might be cause Aussies like their hot drinks, cappuccinos are supposed to be like lukewarm but if you read about Aussie's reviews of italian cafes, a lot say it's not hot enough!
Barista might be bowing to most, even though you want a correct temp coffee!

Hot chocolates are more warm than hot which annoys me and I always get a surprise when one IS hot. I much prefer a skinny mocha which tends to be hotter.
So it is. Go on, I wonder what they'll give you, lol.maybe I should start asking for a HOT one of these and see how I go ..
Cappuccino Freddo: is the cold version of a cappuccino
Yeah I get the babycino for the kids, it's just frothed milk really. I normally get a babycino for free because my local coffee shop offers it for free if I order a regular coffee. Which is great for me. I get to have 10 seconds of peace of smelling my coffee lol.My nieces and nephews (all under ten) get babyccino's whenever they go to a cafe, which I'd guess is probably just hot milk, unless it's an actual thing.
