I think tonites show was very telling and interesting!!

Michael KNOWS he is the ultimate master manipulator, and he's worked hard the last few weeks to get each housemate juuuuuust where he wants them - and then BAM new housemates arrived and his whole world is SHAKEN!!

Im shocked at how much he's hating Sam in the house, despite his 'fake' protests he thinks he's a nice guy - if he's such a nice guy then make an effort to talk to him!!

The interesting thing is that others thought of him as the alpha male.

Michael is sounding castrated.

Sam seems very likable & self confident. Almost like he's been there for months.

I think he is playing the game very well.

The prospect of a House 2 filled with more blokes that he would have to 'train' filled him with visible dread.

I'm not sold on Sam but if he keeps Michael off-balance then more power to him.

I'm hearing you sister!

It was shocking to me to see him so insecure and whiney!

I am giving him 24 hours to find his balls and grunt like an ape, or he is off my list

Funny....... I thought Michael is more put out with Ava being in the house than with Sam coming in and now that she is cuddling up to Josh poor old Michael feels all alone (the Josh and Michael bromance could very well be over). I like Michael and can kind of understand why he is acting the way he is - you think you have BB worked out and then BB throws a spanner into the works but hey that's BB for you. Hopefully Michael will bounce back and stop sulking. :)

I reckon all this talk of puppetry is overstated. Michael seems to me more the guy who likes to think of himself as the smartest guy in the room but not the sort to really work to achieve anything. I'd say that's the source of his insecurity in the house now. He'd found that he had been able to coast along as the master analyst and now there's reason to doubt his place at the head of the group.

Michael loves to sit around and designate who is what and where they fit in. Ava and Sam have come in and messed up his nicely ordered understanding of household dynamics. Ava's even latched onto his best mate and rather more seriously that Angie's fluffiness.

It's one of the reasons I'm glad I'm a gay girl.
My straight mates have had these problems throughout life, on both sides.
For some reason when a guy hooks up with a chick or gets a gf the bestie can get extremely jealous and resentful at the gf and whatever she does.
And is constantly demanding his mate's time and is....well....'needy'.
Gross.

He's a smart guy and probably isn't that used to being challenged because of it. The rest of us have to learn at a young age that when we're challenged by something we have to be patient and work hard at it. I imagine that a lot of gifted children don't have to learn that lesson until later in life.

LEAVE MICHAEL ALONE!

Granted we have seen him at his emotional worst in the last 48 hours, but you mark my words, he will scramble his way back in to your hearts, you wait and see.

He is a great all round guy and a super housemate to watch, he has all the qualities you need in a long term housemate, he is smart, sarcastic, self deprecating, opinionated and ridiculously funny, the only real flaw I see is verbalising his insecurities, insecure men make me gag.
