Prize money for 2nd and 3rd was a bit measily

I don't know how correct this information is but I was told that the car company have to provide the car they can't just randomly purchase one to give away. Something to do with company names and sponsorship??
 
Ok I couldn't really care less how much the non-winners get. I don't think you sign up to the show thinking you will become rich by NOT winning.

However I would like to see the prizes return simply because it gave a more 'event style tv' feel to the evictions.

Agreed, but the runner should get something of value. The $10k just seemed pathetic.
 
Remember when all the evictees got phones and scooters or cars, I thought that was a bit intense but you'd think that at least the runners up would do a little better.

Perhaps a years supply of kfc, then channel nine could get their own biggest looser type show and get them all back for that :)
 
At the end of the day they lost so they're not really entitled to anything, but I've gotta admit it must suck a bit for Jade when she only lost by 2%...and Tahan wasn't far off that either.
 
These two unlike most BB runner ups will do decently out of the show.

Jade will be in Bonds ads. I guarantee it. You'll be seeing her in undies on posters in shopping centers.

Tahan will also do well modelling.

Stingy as. If not prize money for 2nd and 3rd place- 25 000, and 10000, which is pretty good as someone mentioned, then at least a car for 2nd place, and something interesting for 3rd place as well. Not a boring second hand tv for 2nd place. BB sort your cheapness out.
Every evictee should get a little something (Channel 10 gave out phones, oh haha the olden days with those ancient phones). But maybe a gift card or something.
 
Yeah way too stingy. $5K for 100 days of your life? $50 a day. And a second hand tv? Insulting.

I do agree there shouldn't ever be everyone-gets-a-car kind of prizes. Who was that guy who admitted he only went on the show to get a car?
 
Didn't Trevor win a million for his 2004 Big Brother Win? and Aleisha i think it was won 450k.
 
Hot seat must give out a fair bit of money on average while not making any where near the revenue BB probably makes. Pretty stingy.
 
I would think it's because they want more emphasis on coming first in BB, if second and third received big prize money then it would become less about whos going to win BB and more about whos going to be the top 3. There can only be one winner!!
