Priya Appreciation Society

Ahh, Priya. I agree that anyone who feels hurt is allowed to feel how the feel, and express it an should. I also love that she does stand up for herself. However, I thought the whole incident was over the top. I am a person who likes to joke, but when the joke turns to me, I don't like it. I had to learn to not participate at all, or to lighten up when the tables are turned on me. What I saw was a woman who can say what she wants about anyone, but doesn't like it when things are said about her. Do I think it had to do with 4 guys joking with her? No. I think she would have reacted the same way, had it been 4 women. I said this in the show thread, but you can't talk about people and then try to control when they same something about you. You don't get that luxury. So, you either say nothing at all, or be ready when what you give is given back to you. I also thought it was curious they all stood around to be lectured. Sweet boys. Lol. I promise you, I wouldn't have stood there for that. The teacher thing doesn't work on me. By then, it had gone on way too long, and that is where I think she lost a lot of people. I was completely on her side when Dave made the comment about women. So, I was disappointed and surprised that wasn't the focus of her argument. It will be interesting to see how votes go next week.

One other thing that surprised me was how I didn't miss anyone that went into the sanctuary. The house felt easier, and this time, I don't think it had to do with only Travis. I like Priya, well enough, and it surprised me that I didn't miss her in the mix, and liked how the house felt broken up.

You know you're in the "priya appreciation " thread ?

I don't think people understand how strong Priya's authority really is. She made the boys apologise and grovel and I loved watching it. If any of the other housemates were in her position they would have let it slide and have a little cry to themselves or someone else about. Priya confronted each of them, and made sure they apologised and handled it with so much maturity and grace, she really is the Queen!!! Love her!

Oh, so I'm only allowed to say how fabulous she is? NOT. I like Priya, and have posted here many times and if you can't handle someone pointing out things they like and dislike about someone, that's not my issue. I posted how I felt about her today, and some of it was good. If tomorrow she makes me laugh or says something profound, I'll comment on that. Appreciation or not, NO ONE is going to be amazing all the time and it's fine when people acknowledge that. You are free to praise and I'm free to comment on how I saw things. Have a nice rest of your day.

I know what you mean, I'm trying to be careful with what I like in this and the other thread. I stan for both but wont stan for the tearing down of one over the other, so it's hard. Especially because I'm one of those dickhead "likers" who will like post after post for the smallest things lol. I am growing more uncomfortable at not wanting to offend anyone too because they may be a David or Priya stan when all I want to do is acknowledge the actual situation and not as a way to go against one of them even though it will look that way... Oh for goodness sake! I'm talking in fucking code now because of it!

Just to say it! I'm not against David because I don't think he was intending to be malicious, but Priya was not laughing about it so therefore she had every right to react and however she wanted to, she was the one being poked fun at. So I'm not against David, but the situation was not a good one. So I don't see why Priya is being given the 'she over reacted' bs. I needed to say that I think. You can be a stan and still be objective right lol.

BTW, this kind of reminds me of that thread you started and I was being a bitch (though I didn't realize it at the time) where I was having goes at Mikk to banter back with you- I was David in that . Not cool at all. and that's my point. you may not realize you have gone too far, but you should still consider the other person if they were upset, and get over your own reasonings.

Haha. This made me laugh. I know you are torn. But, I always enjoy reading you thoughts, even when I don't agree. I am by no means anyone' stan, but I appreciate the ones who can step back and say when their fave has done something they don't agree with.

I'm just happy we got an enjoyable show. I genuinely enjoyed it, and it seemed like a lot of people did. So, that was nice.

And she's been doing it since day one! It reminded me of that time she threw the door open and marched inside, ready to completely snatch Gemma's edges for daring to use her name in vain. Amazing stuff.

This is the theme song we sing to Priya.

It's sung by the band on Sam's shirt that he wore all the time (Client Liaison):

We sing this to Priya:

when i was queen
when i was queen
I'd do anything and everything to be
beyond the human, beyond the human been

within a pyramid you'll lay
beyond the gates of the empire of you create
and every sun to shine upon the waters
will reward you for the history you won you won

they've come for love so show the world in all it's glory
what you've become to rise above rise above
that schedule it's all been decided for ya
to be what you need

the creations you've grown
they're too fierce to control them all
resurrection is here
to appear how you sing
cause ya born to be, born to be, born to be queen
