Post BB Housemate Antics - Part 3

I am so glad that she posts everything. It's the only way I can follow it. I appreciate all of @Veronica2005 work because this thread would die without her. I love having and keeping my connection to my Australian online friends and the housemates through this thread. Would really miss I tif she stopped doing the work. I know I wouldn't take it over from her.

Sometimes I wonder if Skye has any common sense. With a good manager she could do well or at least better than she is doing. The difference between Skye and Alicia is massive ( joke intended.) Still Skye has followers so maybe she knows what she is doing?

Crazy to see snow and snowboarding. Yesterday my car was 100 Fahrenheit in the early evening. This morning it was 83 at 8am. Lots of humidity too and really hot here. The heat index is over 100 when you include the humidity.
In NYC they have cooling centers open for hours for people to get out off the heat.
Also, the air quality is bad with advisories for elderly, people with asthma, etc.
The snow looks crazy to me.

I appreciate it too. Veronica is a great and informative poster and i hope this thread will continue for decades and decades to come.

I think the difference between Skye and Aisha is class.

In 5-6 months time, I am sure all will be reversed :) We will be moaning about the heat and you will be freezing your tits off! It has been really cold here in the SW of OZ - not freezing or snow conditions, but colder than normal and what locals are used to! I only like Autumn and Spring - so I like the weather 50% of the time :)

I don't post as much from their social media accounts these days. ( I only follow some on Twitter, and lurk their instagram when I remember their names )
I sometimes post their product endorsements, so members can judge or comment about the HMs reasoning for promoting certain products/services...which often appears to be about $$ or vanity:)
No, I don't work for their agents:p

I suppose irrelevant former BB contestants have to make a buck somehow on their otherwise dearth of talents. You could try thinking of fluffly pillows and candy whenever you see housemates trying to promote products. That way it wouldn't anger you so much.

I think when this thread was more frequently used the selling became some running jokes, and topics of conversation, or simply breaking up other off topic conversations. When there is not as much conversation it is more obvious. I find it amusing when skye sprucks different hair dressers in a 24 hour period - the posts seem as real as the rest of her! It is interesting to see how the house persona and the social media persona difffer with some ex HM's
 
Relevant news in the US is that the FTC(federal trade commission) which regulates comercial ad content and disclosures is going to require people to disclose when they are getting paid (or I guess free products) in exchange for a tweet or Instagram. And it has to be upfront, not hidden in a bunch of hashtags.
This is a follow up to them penalizing a game publisher for entering into a contract with you tubers some of whom then didn't disclose they were basically paid endorsements.

I haven't seen the rules yet but it should apply in the US for example to things like Tully posting about her delicious meals and not mentioning she got paid for tweeting or instagramming them.

I feel this rule is a long time coming. But then the government was always slow.

And yes I'm still a little mad that Tully got flowers and a free massage from a girl trying to start a business and had the nerve to tag it #givingback because she didn't get cash for it. She's really just the worst.

i like that new rule.

tully should promate an orange. like pose with an orange in a strapless black dress on a beach riding a horse. looking at the camea like it was a clone of drew. and she can hashtage her post wiith #orangetully because now her ego is so big she refers to herself in the third person. orange sales go up and tully is awarded a medal for improving the health of the country.
