You'd never know there was even anyone else on Tully's Contiki tour apart from the four in her "group". Guess the other travellers aren't InstaWorthy.

Having done one of these tours back in the day in the USA (and Europe) I remember it just as a huge group of people out to have a good time. It's not all beautiful people and perfection. Selling this image is immensely misleading. It's shitty basic hotels, a packed bus, early wake-ups, crowded tourist spots, weird roommates, much drunkeness and good times. People going on these trips expecting InstaPerfection are going to be disappointed.

I'm glad you posted this. I thought she was on a luxury trip. She is very lucky to get to do the for free because that part of the US is great. I didn't take Tully for an outdoor girl though.

What is Contiki tours? Do they take a number of different tours to the US? Do they take tours to Australia?
I'm going to google them.

It's a 18 to 30 something tour company, mainly known for their Europe and US tours, but they go just about everywhere now. She would definitely be one of the older people on her tour, possibly by a long way. It's generally younger 20's. A lot of people on my tour just drunk all day and night, didn't even go and see any sights. It is very much how @davidftw described it - cheap but very basic. Everyone tends to pick up the same illness by the end of the trip - my Contiki cough lasted 2 months. We all had gastro for 2 days in Switzerland - it wasn't pretty. Lol
 
Maybe Contiki are trying to change their image. Tully certainly fits the party image but she is also probably known for being a bit glam. They used to be for under 35s. Which presumably Tully still is.
Don't think I would wanna go in one of their tours. Well I know I didn't ever want to back when I was actually eligible age-wise. But... everyone's different!
 
Tully would be about 28. (I googled, she was 25 in 2013)

Many moons ago I went on a Contiki Tour to Europe.

I was about a handful of people that didn't drink that much. So it was left up to muggins to make sure the drunktards made it to the bus etc the next morning.

I had to wake them up & try & pack the bags & take the bags to the bus.

But after day 2, I decided to charge them a fee for my work. (Yes they paid)

Regarding the tour, they went to places (shops etc) where they got kick backs.

Most of the hotels were hell holes. Some I don't think even rated any stars.
 
I think Tully is possibly getting special treatment for her holiday because she is travelling with Tyson, who was in 'Australia's I'm a celebrity get me outta here' and who was/is dating The Bachelor season two runner-up Lisa Hyde

So how is Tully getting from place to place? You think by group tour bus? I noticed she hasn't mentioned anything about travel or hotels since she left LA. It just is mostly event type stuff.

Also, FYI, Arizona and Colorado and Nevada are Southwestern US. I have no idea why it's called Middle America instead of Southwestern America.
Oh never mind only Tully said Middle America. It's Grand Southern, which to an American would be places like Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, etc. Usually those states are the south and the places Tully is visiting is the Southwest.

I wouldn't be surprised if she was on a more luxurious version except she usually shows of hotels and means if they are nice- or maybe only if she's paid.
