Back when Tahan featured in zoo, I recall some judgmental comments but it didn't sway my opinion then and certainly doesn't now. I hand on heart see no big deal in featuring on men magazines. Like you said, these hms want to get their name out there. I didn't even think twice about 'being single and over it' tbh lol. Maybe it's because I know magazines are there to sell or because it's human nature to want to be close to someone to abandon that lonely side we all have. In the article she states her last serious relationship was at 19, she is what 23 now... she is at that stage of her life where she probably sees a lot of people settling down with a partner, maybe children, moving in etc, it's only natural she would want that too imo.

My comment was only in regards to her doing the shoot because earlier in the year if I recall she stated something about tweeting she was not interested in these shoots and not what she would do. At the time I thought it held a little bit of superiority as if she classed that type of thing in a disapproving way, so that's why I was surprised all the sudden she is did the shoot. I suppose we all make decisions in life and then change our opinion to it over time though and this looks like the case for Jade.

Yep, I know :) My second paragraph disagreeing with the criticism of her "I want a man" comments wasn't directed at you so I should have said it in a separate post. I just didn't agree with a few of the comments (not yours) suggesting she did Maxim to help her dating life.

I think sometimes the "Jade is so desperate and pathetic" comments go a bit too far. She's a gorgeous woman that could have a lot of men but seems to have been single for over a year now (longer if you dont want to count Ed). Everyone complains about being single but I think it's more desperate to just cling onto a man for the sake of not being single...and for all the crap Jade and Tully have copped for complaining/joking about their single life neither of them have done that. She seem very capable of standing on their own two feet even if she might not think so herself.

Obviously your comments were directed at me... that's cool dude we don't always have to be on the same page... Like I said before I found it hilarious that her article had that title it does. Especially because of how Jade was seen by people on here and also SM during and after her time in the house... I was honestly having a bit of a laugh... no former HM is off limits for me where it be Jade (who I like), Priya or even David.

Anyway I thought this thread was for us all to hang shit on the former HMs... my bad...
 
With these men's magazine where they photograph and interview the women isn't the interview usually along the lines of "This is what I like in a man. This is what you have to do to seduce me." whilst they stare seductively into the camera instead of 'Oh my god I need a man. I swear I am not desperate but I really need a man."?

I think it's harmless too :) I meant more that it was getting incredibly intense last season on here I think.

I thought you said you like being alone?

Don't be like that Inigo. You know I love you and wouldn't get pissed off over something you write here about any HM. Like you said though we aren't going to be on the same page about everything and when the "Jade is so desperate/pathetic" type posts started (not just from yourself so please don't think I was going after you!) I thought I'd jump in and offer my own opinion on it which was a bit different.

It did get intense last year. Not from me though. I played it cool. No point getting worked up over nothing.

I do like being alone. Online communication is as much social interaction as I can handle. But like you said, people change.

I don't classify ed as a serious relationship, sounds like jade doesn't either. So I do think she meant she is over being single in terms of not having anything serious if you know what I mean.

I think "I need a man" gives off a vibe of want and need and paired with the sexual pictures of a hot girl it'd come across as "this hot girl wants sex" which appeals to the type of audience mens magazines are aimed at.

"I'm happy single and don't need a man" reads good from a feminist perspective in something like Cosmo but I don't think that's the kind of thing guys want to read when they're buying Maxim.

Anyway who knows. This is a weird conversation lol.

Spock is too generic of a name. And Inigo 'achoo bless you thank you' Montoya? I don't mind that name, but it just doesn't have the pizazz to be a top username.

(Of course they would be, along with @Shinigami, my top three posters on here. But that's beside the point).

Your name is the third best because it evokes imagery of cute fluffy kittens and dogs playing in the meadows underneath a rainbow.

I've never understood why they put articles in there to begin with but I'm not a guy so I can't comment.




Anyway I've unintentionally offended enough people in here today so I'll take that as my cue. I hope you're all well anyway. I haven't been coming on the forum much less the HM Antics thread much these days but I hope everyone that's still around is good :) Peace out guys xo
