I stand behind everything I have said. I respect that you don't agree with some parts, and again sorry for mistaking you for the original poster.

The thing we need to remember, if we are going to share our private life on an open forum with a bunch of strangers, we need to understand we are opening the lines of communication which may result in questioning or comments which may make us uncomfortable, particularly if we are "stressed out".

The things you don't want discussed openly or questioned are probably best for the PM function.

I get what you're saying. I'm not speaking for anyone here but myself, but I think a lot of us feel like in a way we've forged some type of online friendship with a lot of the people still posting here...and as a result we feel comfortable sharing stuff sometimes, especially when we've got stuff going on. It's often easier to share these things with a whole lot of strangers than under the pressure of people in our own lives.

I know for me personally I only still post here because I enjoy interacting and having a laugh with the other posters. I more follow the HMs' progress now for this forum rather than personal interest.

I do understand that doesn't mean people aren't allowed to comment on what people share. I wasn't a fan of what I perceived as a lack of tact in this particular instance (as I commented on) but I know we're coming from different angles there and will probably both keep standing by what we've said which is fair enough.

But yeah, let's get back to the Tim/Tully fights and the "are they/aren't they" Drully saga :)

Tully's story was discussed on Nine News Chat Room, I didn't see it but apparently they said something about the councilling aspect and "talked shit" about her

I thought that was a pretty good piece by Tully. I am not a fan of Tullys and even less so since she has left the house, she is however a fascinating individual.

Interesting to note that Tully is another in a long list of BB contestants who were looking to parlay their time in the house into a television or media career. I guess that is the norm now with all BB Housemates.

I actually expected Tully to be the most successful in converting her time in the house into a career, she is intelligent, articulate and attractive. She may not quite be mainstream talent but there are other opportunities in other media where I think she would be quite good. She has a following, both fans and haters. That is not necessarily a bad thing in TV or other forms of media if she is in the right role. She also has a resume of previous work, she is not a total newbie.

I do wonder a little about her use of social media, in particular photos she posts publicly of her social activities. When trying to market oneself some things are best shared privately among her close friends and family, That being said it does show that edgy, dare I say lesbian social queen which if used correctly is also marketable. In saying that I also can't recall Tully getting involved in any petty spats or squabbles on SM with other housemates which does prove a certain level of maturity.

Certainly her recent blog will not harm her, in fact it has just kicked her relevance upwards again as evidenced by her being contacted by the journo from News, com chasing her for a further chat.

I would dearly love to know Tullys plan moving forward (not Drully stuff) but where and what she is aiming to achieve. I really do think Tully could forge a career from her BB notoriety but the clock is ticking very quickly.

My advice. Focus Tully, I think you have so much potential but it will not come chasing you because your were on BB. It is part of your portfolio now and certainly part of who you are. When the publicists and CH 9 people started to call you less and less was when it was time to get chasing them. You only live once Tully, take the bad and the good energy surrounding you, harness it and have a crack. You never know what may turn up.

Good Luck Tully

For starters you can stop saying that you disagree with my statement about English, because if you re-read the thread you'll realise that I never made one. Nor do I have a son.

When a poster comments and says that her son is having difficulties with English, it is very presumptuous to assume it's because he's not trying hard enough to "get" it, and frankly when she also mentions in the same post that he's severely depressed to the point where he's contemplating taking his own life then it's just freaking insensitive.

I admire your belief that if people want something enough they'll get it, but the way you approached it really gave the impression that you thought @smurfette 's son was simply lazy and not trying. That's a huge call to make when you don't know the kid or how he functions.
To be honest, as a former English teacher and still teacher I think it's almost Tea Party-like to think that hard work and perseverance can mean you'll always reach your goal. It's a destructive sentiment that somehow imbues people with a sense of failure. And to think many 16 year olds, particularly depressed ones, have the agency and drive to push through regardless is cruel. Now teaching at university I see the same thing sometimes and my heart breaks for the sloggers, who, with the best will in the world sometimes fall short...and it's not through lack of trying.

Have a Plan B. It would be great if none of us ever needed them. But life isn't completely controllable (some things, sure. Other things, nup!)

I totally agree.

I mean I wish it did work that way - that success and chances of achieving a goal were directly proportional to hard work because then teachers could give students a bonafide recipe for success - but sadly that isn't always the case. You see some put in no work and shine and others that work their butts off but still can't quite get there.

Hats off to @tee_smyth for opening up, but the producers have protocols in place to only let strong minded people into the @BBAU9 house.

Looks like in addition to potentially writing the ending to her own TV career, her thumbing of the journalist has caused him to write a rather unflattering article that even says she had a "foray into heterosexuality" - I'll let you judge how you feel about that statement given her own comments on her sexuality (and her liking the opposite sex could hardly be called a foray anyway)

Big Brother’s Tully on life after the Big Brother bubble bursts: ‘It’s f***ing tough’

I read this article. I think it's not too bad. The journalist actually represents fairly what Tully said on her blog without adding any personal opinions. It doesn't try to paint her in a poor light IMO.

The article that really annoyed me is the one posted on the ninemsm site - TV fix - titled 'big brothers Tully "broke and unemployed " ' Now IT is a poorly written hash by a gutter snipe journalist.

Pretty sure she's not living at home with her parents, one of whom doesn't actually live at home, and I wouldn't call her blog piece "rage-filled," but yeah, top work. The crap people get paid for, I swear.

'Broke and unemployed': Big Brother's Tully reveals her post-show struggle
blog09052014_ts.jpg

Former Big Brother contestant Tully Smyth has spoken out about life as a reality TV star after the 'bubble bursts'… describing herself as "broke and living back at home with her parents."

In a candid post on her blog Young Blood Social, the 25-year-old reveals her torment away from the flashing bulbs once the cameras had stopped following her.

"One minute you're being pampered and you've got chaperones whose one job in life is to look after your every whim," Tully says. "You've got cars sent to carry you from A-B, flights all over the country, publicists air-kissing you, patting you on the back telling you how fantastic you're doing… and then it all stops."

She adds: "Then you're broke, struggling to find work. All the clothes on your back were gifts from brands wanting you to promote their stuff on Instagram and you've had to move back into your parents, live off your mother's superannuation or borrow rent off younger siblings." No more free clothes and transfers? We're finding it a little hard to feel sorry for you Tully.

Calling My Kitchen Rules villain Kelly 'inspirational' for her recent slam of reality TV, Tully calls it "rich to blame editing for the way in which she was depicted." Which means she's totally owning her controversial Big Brother hook-up with fellow housemate Drew…

Her rage-filled blog post comes only a week after Big Brother winner Tim Dormer, exclusively told TheFIX that Tully was a "trainwreck."

"We're reality TV stars, you're gone the next day," Tim said. "Great, she's got a full wardrobe, a bit of cash in the bank… I'm trying to get a real job and build a career, I don't really sell myself on Instagram."

Looks like that might've hit a nerve, Tim.
