It wasn't a comparison to anyone, I don't see any of the others making snarky bratty comments regarding the freebies they get or the invites to places. It has nothing to do with Jade, or Drew, or Tahan, or Boog, or anyone else who actually are enjoying the benefits of this they get given. So you missed the point.

I'm not sure. Tim often says things just to get publicity, but whenever they have met with each other for whatever reason, they seem to get on quite well. Even if they don't like each other, Tully and Jade will both be graciously polite to Tim in public. I don't think they hate each other, rather just don't socialise with each other.

I know as a fan of Jade I've copped crap before for coming in and defending her when I felt the amount of criticism she was copping was going over the top and starting to stem more from people's assumptions rather than anything we actually saw (despite people accusing me of thinking she's "perfect") . At the end of the day though I've realised that people are going to keep making assumptions and making their own opinions based on what info we do get access to because really that's all we've got.

Gemini, i am on your wavelength this morning

as of now, nobody has come forward claiming to know any of these HMs personally, apart from jessy_girl, and all the speculation has been based on exactly what was you have said, from TV and SM. unless that has changed somehow, and pretty much guessing maybe, posters in here will base their opinions on what they have, and continue to, see through these outlets

my rant

when i have witnessed someone coming in here to leave a post, and it was a fair opinion, they are met with a nasty retort which is then backed up by a 2nd not so nice one, basically a back-up person. if i didn't know any better i see damage control firmly in place for a few certain HMs
while i may seem naive, i see what is going on, but i CHOOSE, and will continue, to post as a fan of the show, and respond to posters as they have imaged their profile to be. i really hope this thread doesn't take a Facebook turn before the new season

Using my words against me :) I'd prefer she had a different job too. Amnesty International are looking for an intern in social media. I'd much prefer that. But I'm not Tully. Jade's and Tully's jobs make them seem vapid to me, but I'm trying hard not to put my values on them.

I think we're absolutely on the same wavelength this morning because I couldn't have expressed what I'm thinking better than this if I tried. And re your first paragraph, I figure that is exactly what these people signed up for. The whole premise of the show is for random nobodies with no connection to these people like us to form opinions about them and vote to save the ones we feel positively about. Don't want us to keep forming opinions after the show? Then set your profile to private so only your friends and family can keep getting that access to your life.

:) To be honest, what looks like a nasty retort and what looks like a reasonable attempt at discussion can be opposite things depending on one's viewpoint/biases (and we all have 'em). It just bothers me to see normal disagreements turn into suspicion and accusations (which, if you're talking about one of the people I think you're talking about, could not be more off-base) of fake profiles and plants. I mean, really? People can't differ and still have valid, independent opinions?We were (mostly) getting along so well around here.

i just see a lot of defending going on the last couple of weeks, becoming increasingly more aggressive, and i don't see any humour attached to the retorts i mention. this is my personal opinion only, and i have no clue as to who you are referring to in particular

this thread void of speculation and suspicion? :wtf:

anyway, i will leave it at that. i want to be able to post in here when the new season starts, especially now Tim has invested in this site, what a good man :)

I'm confused, is this an indirect way of referring to me? I have not been on all that much in the last few weeks and I was one of those people who came in the discussion last night, not as backup but to put my opinion across and I was polite I believe. I don't see how this place will turn into Facebook when the same posters are still posting here. Sorry to go on the defense, but from my perspective it looks like I should?

Also, you are questioning people's profiles? Is that also me?
 
Well, if it's okay to share the majority opinion but problematic to defend a different point of view, then...yeah, maybe I'm not so much looking forward to another season.:oops:
