Apparently tickets are selling fast, haven't seen this on Xavier's twitter or in here but apologies if it has been posted -

Xavier will be in a play called Failsafe, shows are Thursday, Friday, Saturday 8pm and 3pm on Saturday as well. Doesn't look like he plays a larger role though.

During the early 1960s, Cold War tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union heightened as an accidental thermonuclear attack by a group of U.S. bombers launched a mission against Moscow.

Amidst an ordinary tour for VIPs at War Room in Omaha, an alert is initiated when their radar indicates an intrusion into American airspace of an unidentified flying object. The standard procedure is to keep several groups of bombers constantly flying around the clock as an immediate response to any potential nuclear attack on the country. Upon an initial alert from headquarters, these airborne groups proceed to pre-identified aerial points around the globe called "fail-safe points" to await an actual "go code" before proceeding towards Russian targets.

Shortly after reaching those points, the flying object is identified as an off-course airliner and the alert is canceled. However, a technical error sends an errant "go code" to one group of bombers, ordering them to proceed and attack their target. Coincidentally and simultaneously, a new Russian jamming device begins radio-jamming communications between the War Room and the bomber group with the result that the group commander, Colonel Jack Grady, begins to lead the attack on Moscow.
Pressure mounts as the President of the United States and his advisers attempt to recall the group or shoot them down. Communications are begun with the Soviet Chairman, whereupon mistakes on both sides are acknowledged. The jamming is reversed; however, US pilot training and protocols cause the crew to reject counter-orders to abort the mission.

Realizing the severity of the situation, the President seeks a resolution to the matter that will avoid reprisal from the Russians and, ultimately, an all-out nuclear holocaust.

Based on the 1962 novel by Eugene Burdick and Harvey Wheeler, the '64 film featured Henry Fonda, Dan O'Herlihy, Walter Matthau and Frank Overton. In 2000 it was adapted as a televised play starring George Clooney, Richard Dreyfuss and Noah Wyle and broadcast live in black-and-white on CBS.

I asked a friend of mine who's in Newcastle (whom I know listens to NXFM every morning at work) if she could listen for the interview with Tully. She did a voice recording and sent it to me:

From what she said it seems the pretty standard stuff that was in OK that you'd expect:
- she said she's currently single but hates it.
- her and Drew gave it a go but it was "awful" (don't know what she meant by that - assuming the distance)
- Still good friends with Drew. Spent all w/e in Melb together.
- would recommend BB to anyone unless they were in a serious relationship. It's a lot more fun single.
- replayed part of Sonia's interview from yesterday where they did "bed, behead, betroth" - Sonia said she would bed Tully
- Tully said she would bed BB coz she had a crush on the younger one who she later found out was gay.
- said to get on BB you need to be your natural self because the producers can spot the people that are being too loud or trying too hard to get noticed. The hosts had a laugh at that because somehow Heidi (ex host of the show) managed to get on.

Thanks for the recap!

Thanks both for the info and for the effort put into obtaining it @Gemini.

Not that I was expecting Tully to spill the beans re her current situation with Drew but if she's describing them giving it a go as awful (for whatever reason) doesn't seem like she wants to give it another go. In which case why is she spending the weekend (numerous times) at his place and going on overnight stays at hotels with him? It also seems pretty counterproductive to changing that single status she seems to hate so much.

Suppose I could be just misreading everything (again) though. Maybe they have moved firmly into the platonic friend category.

I took from that interview that the relationship maybe wasn't awful but the whole distance thing and the pressure they had on them to make it work as it was so public was the awful aspect.

It is pretty obvious they have a FWB situation going and Tully is always never truthful in interviews unless they are in magazine deals.

Just imagine if one of them will be in a relationship.. Change of set-up is probs needed.. And it's later than I expected as they are both self-confessed notorious monogamist.

Now I'm not having a go at Drew...just saying it would be pretty hard for a girl to be a new girlfriend for him with Tully hovering around. The girl would always feel eyes on her.

I agree that is why Drew and Tully need to figure out their relationship before they have partners because once partners come along boundaries will need to be set.

I mean"it's kind of later than i expected of them (to be in another relationship), given they are self-confessed notorious monogamist."

Wow, my post is so messed up and can't be edited.

I think it gets even more 'complicated' now that Tully is besties with some of Drew's Crew, and spending time with the girls in Melbourne and Sydney this week?
