Yep, like button is a great idea especially for us lurkers. Won't be liking the SS's Nutella on hot cross buns though. Yuk!I'm well thanks - hope you are
I'm quite liking the new format, although it is taking a bit of getting used to visually. Love the 'like' button

A long time lurker here finally having the courage to post. Thanks for entertaining me daily here. Loved BBAU and it's great I can still keep up with lots of the housemates on this forum. I'm based in Ireland, a world away from you guys. Yes it's raining here (again)![]()
Sorry. Part of my point was that it's not like for like. It just isn't. But I'm more than happy to let it go.
I normally think your comments are witty and insightful. This is definitely not your best work. These are generalisations that I'm surprised are coming from you.I don't believe 2 wrongs make a right though. I've heard comments from some women expressing a glee of sorts that nowadays certain vain metrosexual men are experiencing body insecurity issues similar to women and IMO there's something seriously wrong with that attitude.
In any event it is mainly women who are critical of other women's appearance in the media. Your average male is grateful that women pay them attention and wouldn't dream of making catty comments about them.
The men that do make derisive comments about females appearance are more than likely good looking guys who get many women falling at their feet constantly and can afford to be 'selective' and they consist of a very small subset of the male population.
So IMHO your gripe about double standards regarding how both sexes appearances are judged in society is directed at the wrong target if you think men are the ones mainly responsible for that. At least that's the impression that I'm getting from your comments.
