Why is it so bad to express feelings, sad, happy or otherwise? Feelings are real, at least Tully owns hers unlike many others.
And when has it become necessary to appease the gossipmongers who take the piss no matter what she says.. just saying
 
I think Tully feels (either consciously or sub-consciously) that she has to adopt and embrace this persona in order to be accepted in the Sydney lesbian scene and in turn by Tahlia. It is really quite sad, she usually has happy and upbeat posts when she is in Melb. and just the opposite in Sydney (the only more upbeat Sydney posts are the drunk ones).

I agree with most of your post, but why is it so wrong to express those feelings . If she is unhappy in Sydney, why hide and supress these feelings just to make us happy.
She gets so much grief from here for being emotional. That's life. It sure beats being bland and boring, haha although most here find her extremely boring.
She's an interesting and complex person. And yes way to emotional for her own good, but that's Tully!!
