Underwhelmed...that's all I gotta say about the TD finale. I expected a lot more than what was dished up. So much of the detail that we were led to believe had a significant connection to the investigation was all useless red herring filler after all. Not happy Jan.

And what was with that wormhole thingy that appeared in the cave/disused (sewage?) facility of some sort? I'm guessing that it ties in with the spirals that popped up all over the place and probably somehow related to the books/genre that the writer took inspiration from.

for someone who has only had time to watch the first episode ... was looking forward to watching the series thanks to everyone's recommendations ... who struggled to really to get into it so was thinking I'd rewatch the first episode when I had more time ...

you've now put the kibosh on it for me

when people have repeatedly asked those of you who are watching to use the spoiler thing - so that we DON'T read this sort of comment or have the storyline spoilt for us ahead of time

well - just thanks! so much! really!

just a few extra seconds of your time and a bit of thoughtfulness to others ... was it really too much to ask?

My mind plays games with me. I'll come home try on the outfit and think oh maybe it's my mirror or blame the food I had for lunch. Denial denial denial! You really want that website, really?! That's true, they are selling size 6 and 8's I presume, but do they need to alter the shape of their bodies to do so? Let's be honest, most girls do buy clothes based on how it may look like on another individual. So that's the only defence they get out of me.

i am interested, otherwise i wouldn't comment. you could have scrolled past mine, but you chose to say something. i find what you said rude, so maybe you should avoid mine if it offended you, and not reply in the future, it's easy

In my defense the comments I've made are very general and hardly what you'd describe as 'specific'. Believe me there's nothing there that 'spoils' the main story arc. And there are others that don't agree with me and think that it is up to the viewer to link together all the clues peppered throughout the series, accusing people like myself of being 'lazy' and wanting to be 'spoon fed'. Make of that what you will.

my issue being I already was struggling to bother to rewatch it - but based on respect for the few who have been loving it I WAS fully prepared to give it another try and persevere

now with your negative vibes i'm left thinking meh maybe I shouldn't bother - so essentially you have contributed to that

last time I checked (and I've said this before) this is a forum that deviates off the path because thats what we do HOWEVER those of us who haven't had the time to keep up with this series have asked repeatedly that it NOT be spoilt (whether through spoilers OR comments like yours)

I really don't think its that much to ask that ANY comments be hidden from immediate view

I'm sorry - I'm feeling really crappy today and as such have a very short wick

Probably best if I stay off the board today til I'm feeling back to par


just have a bit more consideration - thats all I'm asking

what YOU think is ok to comment CAN have a very different effect for someone else
 
For what it's worth Crimmy, prufrock and LoveBB are still on the TD Love Train. ;) They are firmly of the belief that TD was a great character study and that alone is sufficient to satisfy what it is they sought from this series whereas I'm usually invested in a show/book for the quality of the story. :cool:

The spiral thing could've been a hallucination for all we know but surprisingly to me not many people seem interested in discussing it and its possible meaning. As I said it had no bearing on the major plot of the series and likely nothing more than a nod to the material he was influenced by to make this show.
 
Wow Roxy talk about desperate. Ministry of Talent Broadsheet wasn't being asked for enough so today she's done a broadsheet drop - that is she had people go around shoving it on peoples windshields in Sydney.
