Ed has done much better with his 2nd blog, and yes, he has room to improve, and he has tried to do that. remember, he was a footballer, and words aren't his forte, but i think the more he writes, the more confident he will become, just like all of us on this thread. keep typing Eddy :)

as for un-desiring love, i think it has to do with his SA accent, they pronounce words differently, they sound a bit like the the Kiwis, try it for yourself, it can confuse how you write it

i have put Teddy back up, did anyone notice the cushion? pineapples, Tully loves them, and the mention of knowing where to order flowers from in Melbourne and Sydney. i took Reaper 's bait and sunk the ship, but i have since called in the Navy and it is sitting pretty on the water again, where it should be ;)

I thought you were going to say he got hit on the head too many times as a footballer and I was going to say you might have a point there.

This is what I noticed too (highlighted by the ready-made set of online stores), and I think that lack of personal touch is just who he is. At first when I saw it in the house, particularly with Jade, I thought maybe it was because he didn't care for her enough to get too personal. The blog entry suggests though that is probably just who he is and how he goes about getting someone a present (i.e. "what would a gewl like" vs. "what would this particular person like").

I mean that's pretty common with guys (and women too I'm assuming). I have male friends, family, co-workers ask me on a regular basis what they should get their girlfriends, wives, etc. A lot of these women I've barely (or never) met before in my life and yet apparently me being female means I'd know what they'd like more than the guy that actually knows them lol.

I remember he answered a tweet before Christmas saying that he still had presents to get, but his sister was looking after it for him. I guess he must just be someone who is a bit disengaged when it comes to putting the effort into thinking about what he really knows about person and what they like.

This comment was posted before Ed posted his latest blog. Hope they have proof-readers...

bridgerdrichmondHey ed do you want to an article for a publication you would need to list your top 5 picks for Bridge Rd!

i keep thinking about the photo Drew posted today. it was such a nice gesture, and was really lovely of him to expose himself  this is not to be taken the wrong way, by the way #pointy

ok soooooooooooooooooooooo I'm a proud NZ-born Australian ... I've lived here longer than I did growing up in NZ but I still retain my NZ vowels (most especially when I'm tired) ... my accent does NOT confuse words with others ... it might do this if English was my second language but not if you are from an English-speaking background regardless of your accent - unless it's a word that is unique to one country/region

I think this mixing/mistaking one word for another totally unrelated word comes from a lack of reading ... AND writing. Very often (and I hate to generalise as a rule) people who mix their words like this have never been great readers. I'm not saying they CAN'T read but rather they DON'T read - or don't ENJOY reading.

I think our beautiful language is having its soul destroyed by our modern lifestyle, our over-use of text messaging, emails ... and I believe we're losing the romance of language and its uses ...
