Very interesting. Maybe she is going into the Paleo food business....

i agree wth everthing here, EXCEPT Boogan. while Tim was locked away for 65 days, that is 65 days of constant game playing, unaware of what the other hms game plan was. Tim was exhausted, and so were the others, and then in comes Boogan, bright eyed with knowledge of all of them and the audience, and probably with advise from the producers. Boogan had it too easy, too comfortable, and was too predictable

Geez I wonder why with all that advantage Boogs supposedly had she only managed a paltry single digit figure on one of the final eviction nights. And Boogs fared well in comparison to the other intruders who were disposed with ease and never a threat to the originals. Yet we're supposed to believe that the intruders had the upper hand in dealing with poor little Timmy. Give me an effng break.

Rubbish. Tim had all the power, not Boog. Look at all the other intruders. They had what Boogs did and they didn't cope well. As for the producers, I'd really like to think that's not the case with any housemates. That said, they loved tim's monologues in the Diary Room. He was never a victim.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

The 'Tim as victim' meme just doesn't wash with me.

All the intruders had power, they just did not necessarily use it wisely. They had the advantage of knowledge when they entered the house. They had access ( if they wished to study it) to information about the housemates personalities, their strengths and weaknesses, how the public were voting, what the public liked and didn't like.
The flip side of the coin for the intruders was their limited time to sell themselves to the public. They had the ammunition, they just needed to be able to exploit it to the best of their ability. Tim definitely had a target on his back. It is true that Boogs personality was always going to make her interesting - much like Tim in many ways, but she did go out of her way to push Tim's buttons, there is no doubt about that.

Tim didn't have all the power, he thought he had it, there is a difference

Maddie went in and asked Drew if Tully was affecting his attraction for her, she hardly knew the guy and had never met Tully. she hooked up with Caleb after the show, she just likes to be 'admired'

Justynn said he had a role to play and was never staying, and he didn't

Nathan just wanted a bloody cigarette

Boogan went in to stir shit with Tim, only Tim, and get close to his only friend. she is the only one who i think was playing to win. and that is why i hate intruders who play with and use what they know, it's an advantage, and a dirty tactic

It will be interesting to see what Tahan is doing. I doubt it will be the Bachelor though - I imagine David would not be too impressed with that. I think of all the housemates, Tahan has done the best with career post BB.

I'm sorry but that last statement is ridiculous. "Dirty tactic" - that's just being mean. It's a game, of course she is going to use whatever advantage she has.

Boog as Machiavelli...I'm sorry but I find that laughable. And you are forgetting that not only do you dislike outsiders, but the original housemates do too.Think of how territorial Mikkayla was. They are at a great disadvantage. Boog 'rejecting' the great Cassanova Tim didn't help her either. I mean who could resist him? Oh wait...Lucy, Jas, Heidi, Jade... You forget that 6 of 7 housemates voted for Boog to go. Can you not admire her resilience?

Tim wasn't a victim, but when Boogan entered i would say she kept at him deliberately, then he was a victim. she was going after him no matter what, she knew the score, she is an entertainer, and she wanted to entertain by annoying Tim. i would even guess her so called clumsy moments were put on

we will forever disagree on this one. i see her as arrogant and fake, you see her as strong and real, and we both aren't going to budge on our opinion

i am talking about the hms in general, haha

It's disappointing. I'd feel happier if you hadn't admitted that you essentially always hate intruders. At least you obviously see Boog as intelligent.

He was only a victim of his own ego. He couldn't believe anyone had his measure.

that is true, but you don't think Boogan targeted Tim excessively when she went in?

No I don't. I think she really enjoyed his company and saw him as a potential friend. She was stunned when Tim turned on her, and it was certainly unexpected. Think how well she took the fact that only Drew wanted her to stay. She was funny and generous and quick to forgive any slights. I think she was unbelievably generous to Mikkayala, and she was also unwilling to have a go at Tim for 'sharing'. Boog, to me, is an incredibly uncomplicated and nice young woman. She sure as hell didn't expect to win and her 'game plan' was to have fun. Think about her since she's left. Having fun is what she's all about.
PS. She also tried where she could to avoid being unkind about others. She tried to make drew and Tim back off a bit about their opinions of Ed and Jade. I think she was the least bitchy person in the house.

We seem to agree more often than not, prufrock, but I have to say that the idea of Boog as somehow guileless is so far from my own view of her, in and out of the house, that I can hardly see where it comes from. That said, I don't think she masterminded anything and I certainly don't see Tim as a victim, though there were times when I thought both of them went a little too far.

I have unfollowed Boog in the last few days because of the constant drunken pics. But I have to say, she earned a hell of a lot of respect from me with how she treated Jade after Ed was evicted. She just listened and paraphrased instead of being judgmental like the other HM's. It takes a kind heart to do that. Also, as a Jade fan, I noticed she actively tried to redirect the conversation when Tim, Drew and Tahan were going on about Jade and Ed. Everyone was bored with Jade and Ed, but the others talking about it non stop was equally as boring.

It seems we agree on the important things then ;)

I agree with all of this. I liked that Boog wasn't comfortable bitching about Jade, whom I think she saw as vulnerable.
