Yeah, I still suspect Tully's putting a lid on all things SM for some ridiculous reason to do with the ex or her other friends. The fact that Drew now posts so infrequently is also unfortunate.
I'm not so sure it's ridiculous, although I get what you're saying. Keeping the peace on all sides is good. I wonder now whether Drew or Tully are simply over all the negative stuff and have decided to save themselves the bother. Whilst I miss objectifying Drew, I am really sympathetic to them deciding not to feed the trolls.

I honestly don't think Drew and his buddies are big social media users. They just don't update that frequently and I suspect that's because they prefer regular contact like us oldies do. I *think* Tully liking Tahlia's stuff is a way of saying "hey, we're doing the best we can as ex's, leave her the f alone" and even moreso today "as if I'd make out with someone in the bar Tahlia works in you stupid pricks at the Telegraph". As for Drully, they're together so why like inane stuff when they already know about it? Oh yippee, you're eating with your friend Nadia. That's nice and all but you told me about it as you were leaving my house so why would I like the Tweet? And oh, I'm watching Tron. Umm, you're sitting next to me. WTF is the point?

Perfect.

The thing for me was that Tim was made the punching bag for everyone else's mistakes or reactions. Drew was never to blame, so it does set Tim apart from the rest, because it was expected that he was the problem even when he had nothing to do with a scenario. So I look at it from that angle and not a generalised one. Though I never did say that drew should have had Tims back. I said that was Tims reasons for being upset and at that time he was being a hypocrite, I don't deny this.

Tim didn't ensure Tullys demise, she did that on her own. Tim needed tully to go because he was losing drew to her- that was obvious. But her actions were hers alone. Drew understood that Tim played the game and could separate Tim from the game. That's what I liked about drew actually. He didn't take it personally. That's just what it was, Tim playing the game, but it didn't mean he manipulated the hm's, the hm's reaction are theirs alone. That's their own fault.

yes! tim copped everyones ire even when other people were involved.

as for tully, tim hated her most BEFORE the drew stuff started..."ya get that tully"? That was way early on. He was less scathing later on. I think he tolerated her because of drew and as much as he made some remarks about drew hooking up and not having fun with him, he didn't say what he and the rest of the world was thinking which shows he had some restraint to spare his mates feelings.

I think if people were screaming at drew and blaming him for everything tim would have stuck up for him, but when tim was copping it no one stepped in and said hang on a minute, i did that to...and i think that really hurt tim.

i think when drew started hooking up with tully it took a lot of the shine off of him, he seemed so sweet, the perfect man, so when he fell for her manipulation he looked weak (very unappealing), and when he was going between people gossiping all the gloss came off and we were disappointed that this amazing hot guy wasn't as perfect as we had decided he was....and then we saw that he was just a lad, a naughty lad, who wasn't taking things seriously and could laugh things off, even when he got caught and scolded by jade. He was just having fun, and wasn't the perfect guy we all dreamed about but it was ok, and once we accepted that he wasn't "golden boy" and had normal faults we could all appreciate him for the fun chappy that he is.

i really think that most of them are pretty good people. Some of them were mind bogglingly painful but in real life are still pretty cool.

I think the best thing you say here is that Drew was his own man. I'm not sure Tim would agree mind you ;)
haha!!! I actually think that's one of the things that glue Drew and Tim together. Drew is a wild card. As catty as the bitchiest female but then up for whatever fun is on offer. Tim started to get pissy because he thought that Drew was riding on his coat tails. In some ways he was but in other ways that Tim didn't see (and will never realize until 20 years from now when he finally watches this series) is that Drew was up to his own shit. For all Tim knew, Drew was just the sidekick to his little antics but that's Tim's loss for refusing to watch what we saw. Drew was trying to manipulate stuff on his own and sometimes it'd work, sometimes not but credit to him for at least trying.

It should be mandatory that all HMs have to watch each episode and LF when they leave. My 'argument' with Heidi was because she was adamant that Tully and Drew never kissed when she left the house and then a couple of days later she apologised as she had no clue what we'd seen. With Tim refusing to watch it and Drew not showing any interest it's like they're missing out on a big chunk of what went down.

Fair call on Tully. I still don't think Tim was a punching bag…he was rarely even nominated. Bitching behind people's backs was something all HM's did. I think Connoisseur explained it best (in my eyes), a few pages ago. You could even argue that in later weeks, Ed was the punching bag, although he was much less of a bother than Boog to Tim ;)

And it's a bit of a shame that Ed is still the punching bag.....

Does anyone else who is interested in the Drew/Tully scenario think its weird that she likes a lot of Tahlia's insta photos but not Drew's? I know he hasn't sent any recently but his latest ones?? I wonder how he must feel about this?? It might be just me....... meh..

hmmm i don't think he'd know. He probably wouldn't even be looking for things like that.

Not only didn't Tim ensure Tully's demise but he wouldn't have been able to save her even if he'd wanted to (which he obviously didn't). Tully's behaviour with the over the top crying as a HM got evicted, constant whinging, oh and the fact she cheated on her partner on national TV was unredeemable. She had no shot of winning even from day dot because the public was doing everything they could to get her out. But the Tahlia scandal and Tully's behaviour outside of that just cemented it even further.

As for Drew... oh Drew. The guy who'd play both sides like a fiddle. Admitted he'd say things to light fires and then run away. Remember Jade confronting him in the bedroom? For all of his redeeming qualities, he wasn't an innocent in the whole mess and in fact instigated several issues on his own. That's when some of his fans who remained stalwarts even after the Tully/Tahlia mess started to be turned off by him. Again, people need to own their own actions and I think you're right: He didn't take it personally and in fact laughed about it often. Now that we know how the chips have fallen on the outside as far as which HMs have remained close I think it sometimes makes our memories foggy but Drew wasn't some innocent angel being manipulated by Tim. He in fact caused drama on his own when Tim was nowhere to be seen. Now he'll reap the rewards of his buddy winning as far as a trip is concerned and has a new girlfriend that the media seem somewhat interested in...I think he made out quite well.

That's exactly right. Tullys over the top crying and entitled attitude is what turned people off, but the cheating was the biggest factor for her removal. Drew was caught up in this, but it wasn't enough to see his downfall. What you just said are the very reasons. I like dre very much, but in the house he displayed no guts. He played the hm's well, but not the viewers. His tactics were too obvious and often sly. I remember when jade confronted him and he buckled under the pressure. Unlike Tim, he couldn't own it. Tim and tahan have one common factor and that is they never hid from drama or controversy. Why I supported the two and never doubted my reasonings.

Edit: I'm thinking how silly it is for me to go on with these discussions when drew and Tim are laughing about it all I bet, and congratulate one another for the way they played the game.

hmmm well she did make out with someone on the tv show that tahlia was watching, so not feeling her argument here, but of course i still don't believe the article.

The lack of social media stuff has driven us to this…entertaining but definitely a bit stalkerish :)

He was rarely nominated because hm's didn't want to be up against him. They feared him. But that doesn't mean that he wasn't the first to blame. If a hm felt threatened or that they felt they will look bad, it was Tim they blamed and crucified. Tully, Heidi, jasmine, mikkayla, ed, they always blamed their actions on Tim. Always.

Ed wasn't the punching bag, ed was the laughing stock. He thought himself to be the man fighting the good fight whilst Tim was the evil bad man who destroyed people.

Edit: i thought it was more history catch ups

yes, you are not alone. it's weird but then has he liked any of Tullys lately? looks like Tully and Tahlia are now civil with each other, that's good

Oh dear lord could Tullia be getting back together!?!

and he was only the laughing stock out here, in there the cool kids and later the gewls hung on his every word, it was just drew and tim that weren't buying it.

I think it's more that now that she's out of the house she isn't so caught up in the moment and has time to think about things. Her making out with Drew on national tv while with Tahlia is horrid to me. (Sorry Drully fans and Tully as I know you lurk here.) But this is also the same girl who is a social media whiz and apparently used to be (I think still is) a frequent visitor here. She knows that by liking things of Tahlia's sends a message - today of all days - that all is well or as much as it can be under those circumstances and people will notice. I for one don't believe that Tully would make out with anyone at the place Tahlia works. That's just beyond stupid for words and I don't attribute that to Tully. Do I think we'll be bombarded with batshit crazy emo stuff while Drew's off with Tim and Ben on their Excellent Adventure? For sure. But she's not a heartless bitch. And moreso she has more media savvy than that. I just think back to the whole "Tully's cozying up to a girl at Girl Thing" from the Telegraph and how laughable that was and I almost wonder if they're taking their stories from here and warping them.

prufrock... When Drew had his public account, he was getting a record number of hits on his pics (ie. posing as Miley) and he was posting fun stuff...and the people loved it! Yes, there were some trolls but this was the fun Drew his fans were wanting to see. This is what I'm talking about.

Mrs Butterface...I wasn't really referring to them liking each other's stuff...moreso the veto on posting pics of them together. I understand she wants to maintain her old friendships but hey, she IS with Drew. Hiding it only creates more fodder for the likes of the Telegraph.

The bold part: remember when they were laughing behind jades back about how she follows ed. Tim said that ed was the scoundrel and that jade was a 22 year old girl and that ed doesn't commit. He defended her when no one else did. Again, Heidi was complaining about jade, Tim said that jade was fine and that he has friends like her outside the house. I think you are right jo-bot, if it were drew being hounded by everyone, Tim would have stuck up for him.

I knew that drew was a bit of a scoundrel. He chased Tim and wanted to be Tims friend. He enjoyed Tims antics. I still remember when Tim chose the ice cream over tahans blow dryer, drew was laughing hysterically and clapping. He loved the pranks, the drama, the naughty side. He wanted in. He is sweet, but he is also a mischievous bastard.

haha that's how I felt earlier with the Tim's Tweet scandal but really, when they give us lemons (or nothing), we make lemonade. It is all rather silly though. I said the other day that we're the biggest nutters out there - other than the ones who take this to a HMs personal space - as we're talking about people we don't know and quite frankly couldn't give a rat's about us. But I think the majority of us are here for the same reason and we'd be chatting even if it was about motor sports. I don't log in for them, it's to see what you guys have to say at this point. They're just a byproduct. One I'm sure Tim loves as he's now going to get a million page view thread for a thread started after a show ended a few months ago.
