Forgot to say... Caleb reminds me of the type of person who would've wished they could be on the Jersey Shore. Not necessarily for the cash they were paid when the show made it big but just because that would've been his ideal environment. He's a definite striver and while I admit a part of me laughs at it all, for some reason simply because he's a teeny minnow (if that) in the very small pond that is Aussie fauxlebs, it's now become a bit uncomfortable for me to watch. I wish all the best, a million bucks, and magical love stories for all of the HMs because even if they pick my ass at times I did still enjoy them for the most part especially in hindsight, but a couple of them are just off the charts as far as writing a "what not to do" manual goes.

he does look like a guy that needs some guidance in his life, he seems to have no clear direction, one thing I see him trying to do is hook up with a bunch of women, trying to get free stuff, trying to force his "celebrity status", but doing it all in the most random order

to me he seems to fit what I understood a bogan to be but I do know the type you mention and I see how he fits that type too

You could definitely be right in that he's a bogan... I really should've let a proper Aussie answer it as I'm just giving you my interpretation of the term even though I didn't grow up here. But some of things he's said makes me thinks he's not although other aspect make me think he is. So maybe a Borderline Bogan?! haha

He's the guy from the series that I think should be living on the GC. Seriously no offense to those who live there but I could totally see him fitting in that club scene and he would be a bigger deal there for awhile simply because it's not a hotbed of celebs. I just always feel with his stuff on social media - and even tagging celebritynowau or wtf it's called - that he is so invested in this whole fame thing still. We knew he was when he got out of the house but a rational person would understand as more popular people then got evicted later (evidenced by vote # to save) then the interest in him would die down. And he just seems to keep trying. I have no issue with him going to this Berwick gig and in fact think it's lovely all of them have had the chance to hang out as he's definitely been on the outer... but I don't do second-hand embarrassment very well and that's what I get with his stuff like "Buster thinks I should've won BB", "My loyal supporters are always welcome to come for a surf with me" kind of stuff. He's just giving me the cringe factor now.
 
Kind of sad I had to give that ^^^ explanation above but since I often get misinterpreted I figured I'd better just in case.

The moving in with Layla thing was odd too as was the thing with Matt. Beyond all the Layla drama, Matt specifically said who he'd miss and didn't even respond to Caleb's comments about it on that pic. So yeah I agree that he seems to have no direction. Either that or he assumed things would just fall in place with other BB alumni after he was out. I really wish one of them would come out and give a "this is what I thought would happen/this is what did" article about BB... especially from the perspective of someone who is now watching Tim and Jade get mobbed at Bieber. Like I wonder if Caleb really took to heart a few of the HMs saying they thought he'd win. Or if Ben really thinks the same (not just against Tim, but Jade and Tahan too) as he was starting to crack before he was chucked so I have my doubts he would've beaten Jade. Even though you'd hope a rational person would understand why the interest is higher in the top 3 - as in they were the top 3 for a reason - I wonder if it bugs the likes of Caleb, Ben, Heidi, etc even just in the slightest.
 
You mentioned Caleb's lack of votes, which was no mystery to me but I still can't imagine how Drew had half the votes of Tim,Tahan, and Jade in the final five he seems to be at least equally as popular as they are.
 
I thought Caleb was likeable and not that bright while he was in the house, I never thought he would be there in the end. From the show I thought Ben would be (but since the show he has proven the voters right IMO) and as I just mentioned I thought Drew would be final 3,( I do think the Drully thing hurt his popularity amongst voters) after the Drully thing I thought he would come second to Tim.

He had no one on the outside campaigning for him, like absolutely zilch other than a half-hearted attempt by Tully and none of the HMs, and then he copped the anti Tully non vote especially after she came back. That's what I think anyway. Compared to the others: Tahan had David, the V8 fans, the Indigenous fans and a decent fan base, Jade had Fabio to work it for her and a very devoted fan base and even though Tim didn't really have any one outside support that we can name, his dad killed it on the family and friends show and even in the audience. Somehow his FB page run by his close friend had like 70k likes and I didn't even know it existed at the time whereas Drew was kind of just flying alone.

If they were to do a vote today, I think the numbers would be quite different. Now he's happily in a relationship, always looking pretty, sending out zingers at times and just being witty with his social media... I really think it'd make a big difference now.

I think the popularity of Drew/Tully now is more about Drully than the individuals. There is still a story going with these 2, most of the HM don't have much left to show us of interest

I wonder if anyone tracks the number of "unfollows" for social media. I know I've seen some HMs peak at numbers when the show was still on and have lost followers since while others have increased (most notably Tim, Jade, Tahan, Drew). It'd be cool if some app provided a graph of that stuff so you could pinpoint the days a chunk of people ditched a HM or when they followed. I have secondary Mrs B accounts for BB stuff and I'm still even militant about the following thing... as soon as I'm sick of someone they're outta there. I wonder how many others have just liked a HM a few months ago and have never bothered to unfollow and/or even checked that particular app since then ie several of my friends have ditched Twitter totally for Instagram lately and they'd have no clue who they're still following at this point.
 
I was following most of the HM on both twitter and Instagram but now only follow Rohan, Drew and Tahan on twitter as I think they are funny. I now only follow Drew on Instagram and yes it's because I'm shallow and I think he is beautiful. I stopped following all the others because I got sick of all the advertising ( yes I know Drew does it all the time too)

Twitter has such a tracking service I don't know if it is part of Twitter or if it operates separately but I have seen twitter accounts (some of the bigger ones) mention their daily or weekly follows/unfollows
 
I don't follow Ed (I link him through Jade if I need to look), Matt, Shazz, Nathan and currently Maddie, Mikkayla, Ben, are on the bubble to be next to go

On my real account I have Nathan only. Fake one = Tim, Tahan, Drew, Tully, Boog. The others I search manually each time. Ben and the sisters are absolutely the worst accounts to follow out of all of them. Every other HM I have time for even just a little bit but those two have driven me to not even search their stuff out unless this thread is really quiet and/or I want to piss [MENTION=34950]crimmy[/MENTION] off.

Did you know Ben was going to the Arias? You better buy a new VCR tape to record it just in case. :p

I think also it might have been people believing he didn't have a chance and not wanting to risk dividing the vote when Tim or Tahan were seen to have a better shot at winning. The last part of the series was based on the divide between the two groups in the house, so while individual housemates had their own dedicated fans, there were also a lot of fans who would have been happy with any out of the Tim/Tahan/Drew/Boog group winning and who were worried about dividing that vote. Obviously Boog had no chance and the general feeling was that Drew was the other person likely to go in the double, so that could have become a self-fulfilling prophecy with fans of that group abandoning him and getting behind Tim and Tahan instead?

I got a new beta max tape for it
I'm going to put on some big band 8 tracks and watch the show (looking for Ben's PJ's the whole time of course)
