Post BB - Housemate Antics 2013

this reminds me of this story I read a while back .. (this is NOT ... repeat NOT MY story!! lol)


I was due for an appointment with the gynecologist later in the
week.

Early one morning, I received a call from the doctor's office to
tell me that I had been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am.
I had only just packed everyone off to work and school, and it was
already around 8:45am. The trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn't have any time to spare.

As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene
when making such visits, but this time I wasn't going to be able to
make the full effort,
So, I rushed upstairs, threw off my pajamas, wet the washcloth that
was sitting next to the sink, and gave myself a quick wash in that
area to make sure I was at least presentable. I threw the washcloth
in the clothes basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car and
raced to my appointment.

I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when I was called
in. Knowing the procedure, as I'm sure you do, I hopped up on the
table, looked over at the other side of the room and pretended that
I was in Paris or some other place a million miles away. I was a
little surprised when the doctor said, "My, we have made an extra
effort this morning, haven't we?" I didn't respond.

After the appointment, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home. The
rest of the day was normal. Some shopping, cleaning and cooking.

After school when my six year old daughter was playing, she called
out from the bathroom, "Mommy, where's my washcloth?"
I told her to get another one from the cupboard.
She replied, "No, I need the one that was here by the sink, it had
all my glitter and sparkles saved inside it."

Never going back to that doctor. Ever.

How? I said we're both obsessive and peculiar. The accusations run both ways. I just ventured over there and it's not all bad. I actually agree with what some of them are posting and enjoy a lot of the posters opinions and I do hope that they don't stop posting here. Appreciate the mention. I think some posters have asserted squatters rights in certain threads for the entire season and it has been very difficult to state an opinion that is not the concensus of the thread's popular thought.... And to this point, I completely agree with [MENTION=35381]Gemini[/MENTION] regarding anything you subsequently comment on elsewhere being pounced upon (en mass) due to the fact that you might have a differing opinion to the 'regulars'. I have always enjoyed the banter on these threads but being spoken (posted) to in aggressive tones is not my thing.

Like I said in my previous post though, it's certainly nothing to do with being unhappy about how people in here speak about a favourite (in my case Jade)...quite the opposite really. More the fact that we will come in here and comment on a HM other than Jade and pretty much get told to piss off back to the JA thread. Every time I've seen in happen to me (or another poster from the JA thread), we were told to piss off when we hadn't even mentioned Jade's name. That's what's so upsetting because some of us have been posting on this board all series in a range of different threads, about a range of different issues, but now we're feeling like we're not welcome in here and our opinions are automatically void because we're Jade fans.

Anyway, I really regret bringing it up earlier. I guess I really am "agro" (Thanks TullylovesDrew btw). So yeah, whatever. I've had enough. I don't want to be getting upset over a freaking BB forum.

Oh and I think there was only 1 or 2 people who mentioned or thought the words "Tim groupies" lol. I actually have no idea where that one came from.

Ok, well I'm not sure what went down but I really hope you don't continue to believe you or anyone else for that matter isn't welcome in here because I think everyone would say that it's not the case and it's a free for all. And more importantly I think I can safely say that you and [MENTION=31088]Insomniac[/MENTION] are thought of very fondly even if someone doesn't agree with what you say at the time about a certain topic. Not saying the other regulars in there aren't lovely as well, as the majority of them seem to be, but they haven't interacted as much elsewhere as you two have throughout the season so it's harder to judge.

So yeah, I guess my point is don't run away because that's not anyone's intention in here. The more people who contribute to this thread, the better whether they agree or agree to disagree. We don't really have anywhere else to chat about all of the HMs as individual threads or I suspect a thread about just the 2 showmances would be a total bust if started now that the season's over as we'd all gather in one large thread anyway since there's so few of us posting now (although apparently many lurking and THEY SHOULD BLOODY COME SAY HI DAMMIT ). And I truly meant what I said about the PMs... if someone treats you like that, just f'n report them. You saw how many disagreements I got in on here during the show and even I never once had a nasty PM and I sure as hell never sent one. The forum is so quiet now that if someone wants to call you out, they should have the balls to do it in full view because it's not like they'll be derailing some superserious thread as there are only 2 of them that are even basically standing any more. Just stick around in here and post whatever the f you want. (Which yeah I realise sounds hypocritical as I've been avoiding mentioning either Jade or Ed in fear of starting WW82 for quite awhile now but whatever.) xo

You can sit in here and talk to no one.

You can start your own thread, put in some bloody effort for once and post updates yourself so you can contribute something to this forum of value or I guess just copy and paste what we have here if you're really that lazy. You did the same thing in the Live Feed thread and now you're doing it here. But again: You will be rocking back and forth talking to no one.

3. You can grow up, move past your obsession with some random forum poster online and realise this is the first time I've even responded to you in weeks despite your hilarious attempts at baiting that many are laughing about behind the scenes and contribute to the discussion in here. Because omfg... I'll still continue to ignore you so there's no worry about you getting your knickers in a knot or me hurting your special snowflake feelings.

4. Put me on ignore. Oh wait. Then you wouldn't get some of the updates that your lazy ass can't be bothered to go search for on your own but hey, at least then you'll stfu with the incessant whining.

Your choice. But whatever it is, make it and be done with it already. There are basically 2 active threads left in here and your act grew stale weeks ago.

I meant it. I'm still around here not so much because I necessarily care whether Tim got a new set of piggy banks or Tahan will be at some hooker ball or even what's going on with the two showmances. If I really cared I could find that stuff out on my own and not come here at all. I just really like the people I formed "friendships" with during the show and the ones who have popped up since and I love the discussions, especially when I learn something new or hear a viewpoint I never would've thought of on my own. I know it's hard not to take things personally at times but there are so few of us left right now that I feel like we're a group of castaways on an island that should be sticking together regardless of whether or not we agree about everything. I just really don't think the people who post regularly in here think anything negatively about anyone who comments, let alone wants them to stop posting. Sometimes I think it's tone and the trouble with only knowing each other online because we don't always know the intentions behind what someone's trying to say and when something arches our back, then we don't have that shared history to know they're not trying to boot us from their "life" forever; they're just disagreeing with us passionately at that moment. But really that's all I think it is. xo

Just found this, it was instagrammed Tuesday - it's a video done by Ben Kennedy who plays for Collingwood (AFL) he yells out a window to Drew and Tully walking in Fitzroy. I only found it because another Collingwood player tweeted it out. Drew says something back to him but I've tried playing it multiple times and don't know what he says mainly because it's hard to turn it up too much because Ben is yelling and Drew is faint.

Thanks for that. I really do appreciate your response even though it's kinda hard not to take that as some people's intentions when we have actually been told to piss off or "get back to our own thread"...especially when Jade wasn't even being discussed. I think it effected people like myself and [MENTION=31088]Insomniac[/MENTION] the most because just weeks ago we were discussing everything and anything with everyone and now we're suddenly getting told to go away. It's a weird feeling.

Just as an aside, I get what you mean with your last point. I know I'm starting to avoid saying what I really think about certain HMs more and more. I'm very careful about what I say about Tully or Drully here, I watch what I say about Ed in the JA thread because there's a few new users who are big Ed fans on there, I don't like saying negative things about Tahan because I don't want Sweet_Geek to get upset, etc. I don't think anyone likes having to tiptoe, but at the end of the day someone is always going to get offended unfortunately.

I don't like saying negative things about Tahan because I don't want Sweet_Geek to get upset, etc.

I don't think I have ever gotten upset about anyone saying negative things about tahan, unless it's in a completely disrespectful over the top way. In fact I know I swallow my pride and agree when she does wrong and have always done so. In fact, i agreed that I'm glad she hadn't won, and that she does need maturing when you said it. actually, just yesterday or the day before when tahan was being talked about here about her tweet responses, i agreed that she was not doing herself favours and also said that she isn't as savvy and insightful in approaching social media, so I'm not sure why you would think id bet upset by it. So if you want to post something negative about her, then you can, this is not an appreciation thread after all.
