all of these pics they keep sending out are just advertising. nearly every pic.
I'm thinking if they didn't, one of Roxy's minions would fly in there in a flash and swoop all those clothes back or at the very least be screeching down the phone. She doesn't mess around.

I'm not so sure about Drew, but Tully posted a while ago that she doesn't receive anything from her posting what she is warning, she used to get a bloody tonne of people asking where she bought all of her stuff so she tells them. I think she said she mentions if it's a sponsored post.

The sugar sisters and Ben are horrific in their advertising.
Ben's downright embarrassing. If I read the Sugar Sisters' twitter no doubt I'd feel the same way.

I can't even be bothered looking at either one anymore ... both make my teeth grind ...

I have the feeling eventually the Sugar Sisters will have hit every store on the Gold Coast up for freebies ... do they ever wear anything twice since they left the house?

Oh please DONT POST PROOF ... just tell me yes or no ... lol

I cannot begin to tell you how much experience I've had with this and to me it has 14/15 year old written all over it. Note that it's not @depressed herself doing the begging, but her acolytes. But yes, there's plenty of attention seeking going on.

I have unfortunately had some expereince too (former guardian of a very troubled teen) but usually cutters and anorexics and the like form their own communities and a fairly sceptical of outsiders so they can all 'advise' and goad one another on they don't like outsiders in case they make judgements.
That's why I'm sceptical its a real teen girl and not just someone attention seeking, either way the person needs help if those people truly cared they wouldn't constantly point her out for attention.

In regard to Tully clothes, she is pretty much a documenter she likes to record her life hence the tags (plus people only then send messages asking were the clothes are from) she does it with food too its comes across as just part of her nature.

Don't suppose anyone here has a copy?!

Cutting is definitely a form of attention seeking, but unfortunately it doesn't mean that someone can just snap out of it. It's an illness, or at least the symptom of one. I've seen cuts all over abdomens and upper thighs that make me want to throw up. And the scars will never go away. But I'm with you about all the please notice me, respond etc is pathetic and in the main I would still guess primarily adolescent.

i know its an illness and that there are genuine people out there which is why it bugs me when it seems that some people get into as a "lifestyle choice" for want of better words. Like it's romantic or edgy or something and it becomes their thing to glamourise it and post photo's and woe is me i'm ugly quotes. The internet means people can get an interest and copy others and 'become' someone or represent something.

It's creepy and takes away from people who really do need help and do have deep issues. It's nothing to celebrate like those sites seem to do which is why i don't find it genuine. I think kids that may not have even known what "cutting" is or felt perfectly happy in their own skin can be easily influenced and fall prey to romanticising this teen angst etc. and it can lead them down a path they never would have gone.

but definitely i agree it can be real and when it is it can't be snapped out of. I just know in my youth i think i wanted to be a certain way because of an image, not because i was really interested (not cutting, just my own path i went on) and had the internet been around i shudder as to where i might have headed with that sort of influence.

Your point about the impact of the internet is well made. Romanticising angst has always been problematic. Adding photos amps that up tenfold.
