The designer is quite minimalistic so I guess this could be the reason why she wants to do it there, with the contrast between the glamorous dress and the old boxes. If you use good angles, good lights and the work of the model is really fine,you can get nice pictures. You can have a look of the designer´s dresses here:

I did a fair bit of photography during Uni I did a few shoots for novice designers where we've used that sort of setting. The best shot I've ever done was actually on an abandoned train track, with a terrible old train covered in graffiti. The juxtaposition between that and the nice clothes worked wonderfully (although I never got to shoot dresses that fancy - I'm like a step above a novice aha).
