I suspected Tahlia would react this way once Drew came out the house,its normal for her to be angry with Tully and Drews relationship now properly being on. It was bound to drag up a lot of intense feeling for her. But she isn't helping herself by responding and publically tweeting about it, those aren't the actions of someone who wants it to die down.
What isn't normal is the haters reactions to take it so personally like they are involved especially after all this time.

i guess drew likes the drama all this is causing

trying to stay relevant perhaps?

whatever it is - this just proves to me that tully does not bring out the best in him :(

Drew responding will have two possible outcomes IMO.

1. Keyboard warriors now realise that they can get drews attention and will become even more so relentless

2. Posters who are fans will see drew responding and feel the need to attack keyboard warriors to suck up and do good, knowing drew will read their replies.

Its ridiculous to blame Tully for Drews behaviour he's a grown man who makes his own choices he's responsible for his own actions.

Exactly. He has to learn how to deal with it--ignoring things like that aren't likely to be someone's natural response. I think he's done incredibly well with it up until now, so I don't think it's a big deal at all for him to snap a bit.

do you even read what i write before having a go? He's making himself look like an idiot, unless school yard insults are cool in your neck of the woods. He is smarter than that, or maybe i have higher expectations of him than you. Why stick up for her, she's a big girl, and make himself look childish in the process, best to ignore it, or reply with wit and smarts.

and nice way to project your obsession onto me.....isn't that what i said about the people that get hysterical every time someone posts an observation or opinion that doesn't glorify that persons fave, a few pages back? yeah it is. Some people are too emotionally involved.

i quite like drew, and tully since she's been out of the house, i have at times liked jade and at others rolled my eyes at her, sometimes couldn't stand her. I comment on what i see and it changes, i'm not attached to any of them because they are good looking or misunderstood or whatever. I'm not personally invested in any of them. Its a tv show with ordinary people and it's interesting to watch and fun to enjoy it or bitch about it with others. Why are you crying over every comment i make?

like i said, if you had bothered to read all of what i said and not only the parts that got you hyperventilating, is that he should shut up. It makes him look bad. Crazies be crazy. They are all copping it from loons that adore/hate them and he is not even defending himself, just tully...again....

I hope he does learn, he was one of my fav housemates and I really don't want to see a fall from grace. He's been skating on ice since being with Tully so every reaction now has to be measured and tactful. One would think that during their conversations they would have discussed if responding to haters would be appropriate. I agree that Tully should be able to educate him in these matters.

No, she's just stating her completely valid opinion - I get that it blows your little mind but it's quite possible to have differing opinions and it be a-ok.

That said I'd have reacted the same way as Drew, and probably similar to Tahlia....as someone almost 30 I can see what Tahlia is doing is regrettable....however at 22? No.
 
In drews defence- how many times have any of you felt the need to vent or respond to others? I know I do it a lot. I have to vent, I feel the need to respond back. It's difficult not wanting to, but I understand that it is something he has to learn to do. I'm not going to judge him on something we all do daily! The more time goes by, I'm sure he will learn to deal with it and laugh at these responses, but right now he is only getting used to this type of thing. I'd hate to feel like every action I take is going to be analysed to the death and made to think there is some kind of tac there. How fucking annoying!

yeah he seems like a good chappy most of the time....he could have the world at his feet if he doesn't put people off-side by being a dick to people that should be ignored. tully has been quite graceful since she left the house and she has copped the most i'd think so let's hope he pulls his head in and follows suite. She doesn't need him to defend her, she's doing it the right way herself....

Normal people don't care what people say to trolls on twitter. There is no real downside to responding other than wasting time.
