I assume they are flowers? But in the middle it looks like berry jam?

i googled the Black Star Bakery and there was an article featuring them ... and very similar cake photographed and I think they said orange cake with poached quince and turkish figs

he actually followed that up by retweeting about 6 different one liners from someone else ... I'd rather look at food (at least its calorie free!!) apart from the SS Christmas brownie that just does NOT appeal at all ...
