Major Thanks!!!

To whoever mentioned TD (I'm lazy and don't feel like going back and looking for who originally suggested it)... Just got through episode 4... Awesome show...

I suggested TD via using a picture of Cohle and Martin as my avvie back in mid Jan of this year.

I think prufrock might've been the first to verbalise a recommendation, at least that is the first poster that I actually saw commenting on the show.

Wow! Tahan is braver than me...I look forward to the video of that.

Currently enjoying the premiere of The Voice USA. Love this show. Will watch episode 6 of True Detective tonight, and episode 6 of Survivor South Africa as well, which has been flat out awesome. Love the cast. And our Survivor starts Wednesday.
Do you watch the Amazing Race too?

Just to be gossipy for a sec, I'm weirdly curious about the Jazz situation. If Tully really didn't catch up with her in Melbourne, I wonder if it was something worse than just awkwardness.

Yeah, I'm bored.
She seems upset. Maybe Dougs and her are on the rocks? So if Tully is hanging out with Drew and his friends, I guess it's awkies for her to be there.

And I'm bored too.

Right, it's more that they could have hung out alone (like Tully seeing the Lowers apparently w/o Drew), which made me wonder if there hadn't been more of a falling out. Obviously I'm just idly speculating, based on nothing but the lack of SM communication. As we do. :)

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realise you’re wrong #ahhhh

There's a nice overlap of actors between TD and Banshee too. The beautiful Lili Simmons (Rebecca in Bashee and Hart's fling in 2002) made a cameo appearance as well as the actor that played Le Deux's buddie in TD.

Sorry as a fan of both shows I just had to put that out there.

I honestly didn't think TD would be this popular given how dialogue heavy and little action is filmed throughout the series. It's not exactly the type of show that has set both critics and viewer interest on fire previously.
You're probably too young for The West Wing. That set fans and critics alight for precisely the reasons you mention. I like writers who assume their audience is smart.

I take full credit for this. I can never help evangelising over books and films/TV I love :)

Yep...all those left-brained types. Without an excellent mark in Maths, you can't get into Engineering, unless you're happy with a dinky third rate affair ;) Drew's an RMIT boy...good stuff.
So ... I must be excellent at Maths? (Even tho I'm not?). I think it is more of a generational thing (but may be brain hemisphere biased)

(I am a chemical engineer with postgrad civil engineering degree. I now use my phone rather than a watch. I am over 30!)
