"It's best to keep your enemies closer" : Tim is BACK!
Your winner from 2013 is entering this year's Big Brother House and he plans to stir up more trouble than ever before.
Tim's hitting the House this Sunday at 9.00pm and he is a man intent on causing some mischief! The ultimate puppet master has been given the power to shake things up!
What are your plans? I can only be Tim and when Tim is at his best, he says what everyone is saying but is too afraid to say. I like to drop the bomb in a conversation, then walk away and let it play out. Not in a malicious way, but I like to say what needs saying and then let that play out.
Watching from your couch, what is driving you crazy about this season?I think people are hiding behind teams. There are some sides forming and some people have written others off for no good reason. I remember early on in my season there was a cool group that I wasn’t a part of and I just didn’t want a cool group running the shots on Big Brother – it isn’t high school! I think there’s a potential for that in any season and I can see that happening now.
What are your plans to do something about it then?I want to encourage the misunderstood, people like David, Gemma and Priya. It really irritates me when people make others the scapegoat. Priya, David and Gemma are copping it because it’s easy for others to go along with the group and play quiet and side with the majority. I don’t really even think those three at that bad! People just bite their tongue to avoid conflict. It’s so passive aggressive because they don’t say anything and then those people get targeted and cop Nomination points.
As you know, the Housemates are going to decide who goes out of the pair Australia doesn’t Vote to Save. What will you do to potentially influence that?
There is a worry they will keep the people that they like and just want to live with. I would like to remind them that maybe it isn’t the smartest move to keep your friends in – sometimes it is better to keep your enemies closer. If they think these people are unlikeable why would they be booting them out? You don’t boot out the people you think are weak! You get rid of the people you think are strong!
All the people you mention – except Priya who bought Immunity – are up for Eviction. Is it too late for them? It’s never too late! Voting can always swing and there is time for them to redefine themselves. It’s Australia who decides who goes, not the Housemates! It will be really interesting to see who the Housemates choose and who will be Evicted out of the Pair. And let’s face it, Priya would have been up if she hadn’t bought Immunity.
Are you a fan of hers?I love how Priya is playing! I think we are yet to see the best of Priya and I think she is a strategic gameplayer, but she needs confidence to not be afraid to ruffle the feathers and BE that gameplayer. She could be even more strategic than she has been – she is very intelligent. I really love her and I would like to give her some encouragement.
Who aren’t you loving? Travis. What a drongo. What an idiot. He is always the first to give advice but I am yet to hear anything decent come out of his mouth in terms of advice. I would never trust someone who can’t even pronounce Melbourne. He says MAL-bourne. What is that about!?
And Lisa. I get the same vibes off her as I did from Tully early on. She’s just that grumpy negative person and she is even a bit high school mean girl. I haven’t lived with her but she just doesn’t seem to have that much empathy and she’s a bit of a hypocrite. She just ran with that boob line way too much and she blamed David for everything. She then went and criticised David for his eyes being close together! How hypocritical! She also got it wrong anyway – she should have blamed Travis for what he said! He was the one that said they were saggy! I think she likes the attention of playing the victim. I think she is the new Tully in that regard.
But you and Tully are mates now, right? Yes we are – we have buried that hatchet.
What are your thoughts on any other Housemates?
I think Jake being paired up with Gemma and her being so unliked would be scaring him a little bit. Jake does not like conflict – he is definitely not like me in that regard! He doesn’t like dealing it or causing it. Gemma is causing him a lot of trouble but he is also very loyal. Jake could have blamed a lot of things on Gemma and bitched about her to the other Housemates but he hasn’t at all. He is a really nice guy and a great listener and I think he would genuinely care for Gemma. But we are missing a lot of him – I think he is going under the radar a little bit. But that was a terrible kiss he had with Skye! That was so awkward!
You were crowned winner last year. What was your ultimate moment when you were in the House? The moment Caleb went home. That was the night I had put myself up for Eviction. I knew that was really ballsy and I wasn’t 100% confident I would be safe. It came down to me and Caleb and everyone in the House thought I would be going home. Caleb was so well liked in there. When Caleb went it scared them. And that’s when they also realised – Tim is willing to do anything to win. That night, I knew I could win. When Ben left, I knew I had won.
See Tim enter the Big Brother House Sunday 9.00pm on Channel 9.
