Is grey regrowth a colour? I'm rocking it atm.

Totally Rocking!!!!

It's the next big thing - taking over from balayage - and you are a trendsetter

Yep, Yep and Yeah Yes!

Yay. That's preferable to being lazy cow who can't be bothered to go to the hairdresser in this freezing weather.

Nah, no Lazy Cow ... just being a natural .........

I predict we'll be seeing Tully and Boog with grey stripes down their partings very soon

I doubt that those mentioned will never give into real life ....

Hey, it comes to a time in life - just to be ......

Hello Naughty Boy!

Nearly time to once again strap ourselves in and create mayhem!

I hope in the off season you were successful in contracting a colourful cluster of treatable genital infections!

Nothing says "naughty weekend" quite like pissing razor-blades 72 hours after...

Ha!

Well the definition of "news" is newly received information. So it does qualify there. As to whether it is worthy or not? It sells a lot of papers, results in a lot of website visits and basically keeps the E network in business. Financially it makes a lot of people a lot of money and people want to follow the story. Does it matter on the level of Holden shutting down? Of course not. Does it matter at all? Not to me, but I don't know enough about the fashion industry to say if it had a big impact on styles, sales and trends. Fashion and hair would be a multi billion dollar industry, so it might matter to those people.

Not complaining, he is one of the players I enjoy watching play the most. Plus I was glad to point out how much he looks like Johnny Rico

Does it matter at all? Not to me, but I don't know enough about the fashion industry to say if it had a big impact on styles, sales and trends.

You really like having the last word don't you SES. Sorry but I think millions of people would strongly disagree with your acceptance of celeb gossip as news, so it's not just me. That's why it's usually referred as to mindless celeb gossip and rarely described as 'news'.

Really I expected better from you SES. I read the local paper and a story about student winning a scholarship is significantly more newsworthy than what some B grade actress in hollywood does to her hair. Your standards of what you're willing to accept are as low as they come. You read that crap don't you, just admit it. It all makes sense now why you laboured the point about 'logic'.

Its not that strange, except for how low his place in the entertainment landscape is. Jennifer Lawrence cut her hair and the media went nuts. But she was an Oscar winning actress who stars in two of the worlds biggest film franchises. People seem interested in that, so I suppose that makes it newsworthy. But usually not if you are someone with Tim's status.

The only difference between Tim and JLaw is the number of 'devoted' fans they each have, one has fans numbered in the millions, the other a couple of thousands if that. Other than that those tow posting their minutiae on Twitter is virtually indistinguishable.

That's what I said, wasn't it? More famous and talented people get that sort of attention and it seems weird when they do stories on people who don't fall into that category. Its the same story but seems weirder because its not about someone very famous.

You argued that JLaw's minutiae crap is more newsworthy. For mine it is no different to Tim's in that regard as long as there an audience willing to eat it up, however small.

I would say it is. It may have some impact on her next movie. Is her character going to have short hair or wear a wig? Tim's haircut has no impact on his future film characters (because there are none). I don't think it matters much but I do notice bad wigs. Loki in the most recent Thor had a bad one and Lena Headey's Cersei wig annoys me.

You're apparently more knowledgable than me in this topic so I'll graciously concede.

They call it logic. Tim's hair is not going to impact a multi-million dollar movie.

I can't relate I've never thought about actors/actresses hair and how they were relevant to up coming movies. Like I said you are far more in the know than me in this particular discussion. :)

Neither did I until it came up. So, its more superior logic than superior knowledge ;)

Hmm superior logic? How about that as a straight guy things like hair and their relevance to up coming project of actors/actresses don't enter my mind and leave logic/intelligence out of it? :pompus:

You make it sound as if straight guys can't use reasoning to figure out things that they don't know much about. And I didn't say intelligence, you did.

Don't play dumb SES reasoning, logic are words synonymous with intelligence or lack there of. :pompus: We're going around in circles but I think I've made it clear as much as I can that just because I don't see the connection between an actor's change in hair do and its news 'relevance' doesn't mean that I'm unable to use 'logic'. Whether it's because I'm straight or some other reason, I don't know but not every guy has the 'logic' to figure out something of that nature, not all straight guys are wired to consume and dissect frivolous mindless gossip in that manner. :whistling:

You seem annoyed at what was just a little light needling. Which is weird because you dish out a fair bit, I thought you could handle a little jab. It really was just meant to poke fun.

When did I say you were "unable to use use logic"? I said on this occasion I got there first. You seem to want to twist my words into things I never said. You also seem awfully focused on this idea that sexuality has something to do with someone's use of reasoning in this case. The question was never really about hair, but why it was more newsworthy. It literally took less than a minute to come up with a reason (that I don't even know is correct but I have not heard a counter argument to) why Tim's was less newsworthy.

Other than calling out and poking fun at Jade fans for their their annoying one-eyed devotion I don't recall making any personal remarks to other posters, that's not my style.

Delcan thinks I'm constantly taking subtle digs at her in my posts but she's delusional.:p

....

I get that JLaw is more famous and hence more people care about the minutiae of her life.

What I strongly disagree with is that this 'NEWS' is basically fodder for GOSSIP RAG/TABLOID rubbish that's the vast majority of human beings who consume real NEWS would never ever consider to be 'NEWSWORTHY'. That's why I (and many other individuals who read REAL NEWS) make no distinction between Tim's and JLaw's minutiae.

A subjective take on the meaning of the word I'll admit but that's all what we're arguing at the end of the day.

I hope you finally get where I'm coming from. :)

I don't get why you seem annoyed but that jab. It was so light hearted.

That in this one case you didn't even think about why it was more newsworthy for Lawrence than Tim. I never once said you are "unable to use logic" full stop. Just that I did and came up with an answer, that did not require any knowledge on the subject ;)

You never actually gave me a reason why the impact on her movie roles and on fashion trends do not make it more newsworthy than Tim's (who impacts nothing). You just sort of got annoyed and talked about your straightness. But I am with you, lets move on.

I guess that what I'm trying to say is that GOSSIP RAG 'news' is not what many (including myself) consider to be news just celebrity gossip rubbish, nothing more to it than that. :)

And the fact is that it is mostly women who consume that celeb 'news' stuff hence why I emphasised that in general straight men are oblivious to it.

I get that it falls into the same news category, but when you dig a little deeper and look at what impact it has on things like movies, international style and the business of celebrity (a big business) it qualifies as more newsworthy than Tim, who people are not interested in on the same level. People want to read about her more and on top of that it has more impact on business. That makes it more newsworthy, within the gossip news category.

The distinction you are making seems to be more about category of news (celebrity gossip) and that none of it qualifies as newsworthy. Which is a whole other debate. But I get where you are coming from now. I was just talking about the example with Tim. And its good to know all the straight talk didn't came out of no where like the Hawkins talk did .

Tell me you're taking the piss. lol I don't think even its female readers (or the few male readers) would insist it's news. In large metropolitan cities celeb 'news' has replaced the small village gossip of decades/centuries past. It's an itch to scratch for a section of the population if you will and celeb gossip satisfies that need. You do realise that most of the gossip 'news' is not even true, it's mostly made up salacious (occasionally slanderous) garbage that whets the appetite of those that way inclined. lol :D

It was out of the blue in the sense that he's not a former hm but I did reiterate that IMO he somewhat resembled Drew, that was good enough of an excuse for me. lol

P.S. I couldn't quote it all as there's a 10,000 character post limit. 10,000.

Earlier Boog posted a pic from last night's shoot (I wasn't able to copy and paste from my phone), which she has now deleted. It was from waist up and she was wearing the denim jacket open at the front - and naked under it. It had only been posted 20 minutes or so before I saw it, and had comments like Flop them out Friday, and #Boob etc. She obviously thought better of it.
