I actually can't stand the drunken pub/club photos - they bore me. Ed looking like a sleazy creep, calling everyone babes or legends, Tully licking, kissing or draping herself over anyone, Boog waving a glass around etc. I much prefer ones that show what the HMs are doing eg. Ed's game calling, Tully with the deleted radio pic from this morning, Jade at Channel 9 or TVSN, Tahan with a microphone. The party ones are just all the same poses.

i don't mind seeing Ed when he is partying, he gets into the 'spirit' and has fun

He makes my flesh crawl in his drunken photos, with his sweaty, slimy skin and wasted eyes. Drool dribbling down his chin wouldn't look out of place. The product overload in his hair doesn't help the overall sleaziness effect. He photographs much better in more light and when just moderately 'happy'.

Not when he's wasted, no. When his hair is product free and he is relaxed (and not pulling faces for the camera), then he is fine.
 
Ed's probably the one out of all the '13 HMs whose birthday I'd make an extra effort to attend, even including my beloved Tim or even Tahan. He cherishes his female friends and even treats randoms like me respectfully, he's actually pretty damn funny and likes a drink so you know you'd have a good time and he's more than willing to take the piss out of himself. I'm glad Tully's there having a good time with him too. I definitely enjoy her more when she's not with the pose happy or seemingly too cool for school/angry crowds she mingles with at times.

I agree. I like Ed. I don't think he has any pretences. He is just himself . In the house he was awkward because he wasn't being true to himself. Outside the house I see a much more natural relaxed person and that is why I like him.

I have no problem with people getting happy and having a good time - but not total wastage on a regular basis (spent 25 years married to someone very like Ed - right down to the looks when both sober and plastered - and it wears thin).

To be fair since he's started his real estate job we haven't seen those pics any longer with the exception of tonight and of course he gets a pass as it's his birthday. Before now, the last pissed pics we got of him were at Tahan's birthday 2 months ago. I get what you mean though... too much of a good thing is definitely too much but I cut all of the HM's slack if they went a bit wild for a few months after they got out. They were enjoying freedom and riding the short-lived fame and attention buzz BB brings. However I think the majority of them have settled down now and properly re-entered the real world with only Boog and even Tully now being the concerns for needing a liver detox soon if we go solely by what we see on SM.

we don't know if Ed gets drunk on a regular basis though. it was more often when he was first out of the house, but i don't think we have seen him wasted for a while. he is single and it's his birthday, and that's his excuse ;)

maybe that is what Jade saw in Ed, what you you see/saw in your husband, but i don't know if this will be the Ed you would see in the long term

Everyone gets a pass on their birthday :).

I give credit to the majority of the HMs - settling back into everyday life and getting on with their lives, which can't have been easy for some of them who may have had expectations that haven't been fulfilled. I think Ed's new real estate job definitely came at the right time because I think he had been struggling, and he certainly seems to have embraced it and either settled down, or at least taken a much more circumspect approach to the image he puts out there. The game calling will help as well.

But, yep, Boog and Tully - their livers mustn't be pretty.

From the comments on his pre-BB photos, and those of his friends - he is a serial offender from way back. Footy culture doesn't help that either - but hopefully as he settles into corporate real estate - where a different image is required - he'll settle down.
