Jars being used for cups? I just don't get it.

She does have a wedding in NY later in the year I believe, but it is looking like this is a trip relating to work. Not sure what this "work" is, but it most certainly could be modelling. Whatever it is, I hope it is something that she finds fulfilling and marks the beginning of some stability in her life (although admittedly this seems unlikely).
@jessy_girl Do you know when this is happening? I also recall a comment that Libby made on one of Tully's Instagram posts a few weeks ago about the idea of splitting six ways? Is it possible it is something to do with that?

You guys drink out of glasses instead of jars? Haha, how mainstream.

Oh dear I will have to stop putting my glass jars in the recycling bin, and recycle them in a different way. I will also have to use my wine glasses as vases now instead as well.

You either like me or you don’t. It took me 26 years to learn how to love myself, I don’t have that kinda time to convince somebody else.

Oh Tully, NOOOOOOO! Loving yourself means you are a self contained unit of happy & content independent of outside forces; not I constantly bleat to the world that I'm alone and lonely and broke and I'm not coping without Luna, Drew, I'm hungover, I NEEEEED all these friends to validate me :inpain:

Sounds like we need to get a supply of jars up on our fence to drink our Baileys out of. Now that we have a nice new trendy fence to sit on, we have to look the part.:cool:

When I was little my mother kept empty Vegemite jars for glasses (they weren't screw top back then). Clearly we were VERY fashion forward! (and I LOATHE the current jar-as-a-drinking-vessel fad)

We used to keep the jam jars as well. They were made to look like conventional glasses - so could be kept afterwards - we had a whole set.

Hahaha our mums must have both been budget conscious and trendy! I used to hate if she brought them out when we had visitors though.

Haha, I know. It's one thing to have your morning orange juice in a Vegemite glass - but another thing to offer them to guests (unless your friends' mothers did the same - and a couple of mine did. It was like a shared guilty secret )

They all had snap-on metal lids, so they could be used as glasses. Waste not, want not back then (back when things were repaired instead of replaced, and we walked 20 miles bare-foot to school while carrying the family horse on our back etc)

We also lived in a cardboard box and had bread and dripping for dinner.
