i think this is where i agree to disagree :) i keep feeling that there is a game, could even be between Tully and her mind, i just can't explain why i think this
I actually agree with this and I can't explain it either, but yes she is at war with herself at times.

Edit: haha posted at the same time you did. Yes playing a game she has created in her mind.

Fair enough - happy to shake hands. :)I can see your point as well - I also feel there are often little games going on in her life, but in this particular instance I don't see her appearance in Melbourne as a game. That's not to say there haven't been games in the past, but I genuinely feel this time she is searching for something.

I don't know that it's fair to be too judgemental on her. I haven't viewed her time in Melbourne as playing games, rather she seems to have been trying to make the most of her time there. I can't see that she has done anything wrong. As I've said before we only have SM as a guide to what happens in their lives - it is really just the very tip of an iceberg .

What i mean't was wanting his attention.

I'm not sure what I was expecting from Tully's Melbourne sojourn - but I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed. Yes, she seems happier but, bearing in mind how needy she is in regards to her constantly being around people and having a proprietory claim on them (which annoys me no end), I don't know how much of that more upbeat outlook is due to having a fresh bunch of people to play with and feed off rather than any change in Tully herself. It just took half a day on her own before she posted about Melbourne being lonely on Sundays.

Tully is charismatic, intelligent, articulate and a trained writer - but all I'm seeing is the same vacuous stuff, just with her draped over different people. I feel that until she finds some depth of focus, it won't matter for long where she is.

maybe just new surroundings, but she probably didn't need to move to Melb for that. we don't know all her friends so i suppose you can wonder if she has friends in Sydney who aren't part of her gay community? and is she at a better place with job placements in Melb?

i see it differently as in Tully has done the chasing, and maybe/probably still is. Tully wants to be married by 30, a lot of pressure for a guy that has just graduated
So if that is the case, she is stalking him, isn't she? Moving to his city, hanging out with his friends. Would prefer to hear their current situation was mutually agreed upon. Otherwise poor Drew and what a cringe worthy situation for him.

??? He hardly has a claim on Melbourne, and she doesn't seem to be hanging out with his friends (some of whom clearly became her friends as well) since she's been living there. He's a big boy, and she's flawed but not a monster. Sorry, but the poor Drew angle just doesn't quite play with me.

I agree with you @littlebear, I don't see that she has crowded or chased Drew since she has been in Melbourne. He doesn't appear to have been phased by it. They looked like happy friends going to the movies last week.
