I'm with you there. But I always seem to dislike or at least be totally neutral on the things I'm meant to be frothing over, I don't mean to be such a rebel it just happens naturally.

I know exactly where you're coming from. Now I'm older I've learnt to accept that a lot of my tastes go against the grain, but I spent a lot of my teenage years pretending I was equally obsessed with whatever everyone else was. Don't get me wrong, I do like a lot of the mainstream things (I think the last concert I went to was Bruno Mars) but a lot I just can't get into even though I feel I should because everyone thinks it's amazeballs and I wonder if I'm missing something.

It has been pretty liberating to stop pretending to like shit that others like, I remember being totally mortified on my year 6 camp when it was revealed I was the only one who liked Hanson, not so sure I would take musical taste so personally these days.

Haha, ok now let's just clarify, I don't love Beebs as such, I just like him a normal amount, which is probably still way too much to be considered remotely socially acceptable. But hey, as above, no shame.

The best thing about this is I actually have no fb friends who are fans, so it's official I only keep exceptionally awesome company.

I had 2 friends show up as Nickelback fans but don't know how it works and how fb would know if they were fans...
looking at it now I guess they have liked them under 'Music I may like'?
