We were only covered to fix any damage from the flooding...and since that was all in the yard there was nothing needing to be fixed. The cost to actually pull up the path, replace and move the pipe and then relay the path wasn't covered through insurance.
Luckily it all happened fast though which I'm happy about. Having to wait around with water damage inside the house would be a nightmare!
Actually my sister in law had a similar issue now that I think about it, for some reason it isn't covered by insurance, never asked about the details. I wasn't married back then so didn't pry into details. Glad the problem is over with though, anything to do with plumbing is so time consuming IMO so whether it's done sooner or later it still has its stresses
