Possible house location?

Just wagering a wild guess here. Looking on Google Earth you can now see a boundary separating the new development going in where there used to be woods. The original house location has been sadly filled in and submerged in water. The opposite side shows a swath of land that existed but was vacant throughout the original run on 10 and 9. Older imagery shows cars parked here during the original runs.

Aside from the new house being built actually inside the park and risking noise from the park and rides, I'm thinking this could be the new location. If they plant some trees and put up a fence on the side of the road, this could make for the perfect spot. Even the two red trailers are still there from when the original house was still being used. Can't help but wonder if Dreamworld has access to this location still. However, it could be odd to put it so close to a public road.

I find it unlikely the amphitheatre will be re-built, especially since a new ride is being planned there. I would assume they're using the other theatre in the park, so this could be moot as it would be a significant distance.

Funnily enough I went for a drive up there today, I was parked at that end of the street above the red box. I couldnt see any change to when I went there around October/November last year. Mind you, I didn't get out and have a proper look. But I was expecting at least some sort of new boundary or fence line. I'll be going up again on the weekend, so I'll take some pictures if I get the chance.

Heyo 👋 Decades long visitor and poster but lost access to my account many years ago.

Just wanted to chime in here and say that I've got access to some aerial imaging through my employer. I've been keeping an eye on Dreamworld since a we heard the show was coming back. The last imaging was from 12 June 2025 and it doesn't appear as though any construction has started at the park as of then.

I did think that there were a few other possible locations but not sure how practical they are, specifically this area behind white water world.

Anyway I have some notification set up for when there are updates so will make sure to update.

Thanks for sharing. Keep an eye on that White Water World area - that's the one most people here have been speculating may be the site.

I hope they build it behind white water world just for how close it is to the new exhibition centre and how awesome it would be to have the evictee carted through the actual park to the stage

I actually think if they want seclusion this top right area could be perfect.
According to the town centre plan from 2010 Dreamworld owns that land. I’m trying to see if there are any updated plans

EDIT according to to a land sale notice in 2021 the boundary for Dreamworld still includes the area I outlined as well as the gravel area near to the old house

I clocked that area too. My only thought is that it could be very noisy in that spot and not very secluded. But it would be convenient. Time will tell!

Okay, I did a skewed overlay from the plan @matts bb posted above.

overlay.jpg

The orange tinted area marked "8" is Dreamworld property.

A - Possible new location (by White Water World)
B - Old house location
C - Possible new location (gravel lot)
D - Possible new location (forested area)
E - Old amphitheater lot

B (red) is obviously in the zoned area for the Coomera Town Centre South zoning.
C (light green) is an area marked as "Environmental Open Space or Corridor"

After looking at this closely I'm less inclined to believe the gravel lot is a possibility due to it not being owned by Dreamworld, unless they let the land like they did when 10 and 9 had their house.

The old amphitheater lot (E) (assuming there isn't a planned ride there anymore) and the area behind White Water World (A) seem to be the top candidates, though (A) would be subject to a significant amount of park noise. The wooded area (D) seems unlikely unless they plan on razing an entire wooded area, which I imagine is costly. Though it is strange their land saddles a zoned environmental open space - perhaps they have the option to build a semi-temporary structure in that area if they get permission (C and partly D).

The faint dashed line pattern around the north and east side of Dreamworld is marked as a "future road network."

Yeah looking at this I think @Brekkie might be right with E - Old amphitheater lot. Build the house on the back side of that where it'd have more privacy and less noise.

I'm curious where they're planning on continuing that road to by the old house, unless they're planning to loop it around the perimeter of the red zone.

Yes I'd rule B, C and D out based on the info provided which basically leaves the two corners of the park with the amphitheatre area looking more secluded.

Interesting on the application that was submitted in 2024 though with majority of the boundary to be rezoned for Dreamworld development under the proposal which if it has been approved may open the doors to other house locations?

Nice investigation work. If that was approved then that opens up the gravel lot and west side of the town centre development. Guess we'll know what was decided sooner rather than later. I also figured they might finally demolish the last of the blue lagoon attraction next to the old amphitheatre and build there, but that's right up against Steel Taipan.

New "studios" would need to be erected for production facilities and to accommodate audiences if on the north side of the park. If they run it out of the current auditorium they have, then behind white water would would probably be the only spot. All those camera feeds, electricity, plumbing, audio systems, crew access -- wouldn't make sense to stretch it across the entire park.

How ironic the OG house is quite literally on the border.
