As per the thread title ...

In comparison to voting roolz for Oz and BigBro HM eviction nominations, participation in this thread is NOT compulsory. :)

I would like the leader of the BBB Government to place Derspatz in permanent exile. His eccentric tweak on the written word alone should see him on the forum version of Christmas Island. Being constantly visually assaulted by words like "roolz" instead of rules, "internut" instead of internet, "Numba1sun" instead of my son, "LSPC" instead of my wife and "greenNazi" instead Green Party member, just to name a few, feels like eyeball torture, but having to endure his prehistoric view on a woman's right to abortion coupled with his uniquely spelled ramblings simply equates to retina genocide!

Someone needs to stay up and protect our eyeballs!

In all seriousness though - if you want to have a political discussion thread I'm banning phrases like "greeNazi", "loony left" etc. I'm also banning any derogatory terms against the Liberal Party and right wing too.

Political discussions should be about the politics. Leave the namecalling to Members of Parliament (har har, see what I did there).

How sure are you of your political leanings ... do they match what other folk might deem them to be ?

Here are a couple of links to "political compass" type online tests that perhaps could serve as a benchmark or reference.

When doing them, please keep in mind that how various other people (living or dead) and political parties have been placed in the spectrum is entirely subjective / guess work as it is doubtful that ANY of those people or political parties have ever taken the "tests".

From the over-financed and demonstrably left biased "ABC", there is this: http://www.abc.net.au/votecompass/

and then there is this highly subjective online standard of amusing worth: http://www.politicalcompass.org/test

I'll post my latest results later ... time for dinner and LSCP and I have "Strip the City: Dubai" going on the telly ATM so I'm unlikely to give the questions my full attention. :)

Okay, here's my results.

As I fully expected, the ABC "test" tried to present wrong as correct and evil as good.

For example, it tried to claim that the big government totalitarian/authoritarian/collectivism/fascism/Chairman Mao/Pol Pot/Hitler et al part of the spectrum was in fact "liberalism" when all of history shows it to be the most murderous, freedom hating and generally misanthropic and basically ANYTHING but "liberalism".

It also placed that side of the scale/spectrum as being at the "top" and thus everything else, especially little government Conservatism/Libertarianism/Centrism/As Close To The Ideal We Can Get Short Of The Return Of Jesus visually "beneath" it.

As it would.

But the ABC and it's vote compass team "aren't biased" or of any particular political view. lol.

and here is how the better known and more used "Political Compass Test" placed me:

polytest.jpg
The other year it had me virtually exactly in the middle but it would appear that since then I've become even more "libertarian" and thus even more anti-greenationalsozialismus.

No surprises there for anyone ?

oh, and from the same test, here is its subjective results for the 2013 Fed election ...

I can't believe when you turned on your computer and you were faced with the choice to look at porn or test yourself politically, you chose the latter!

You make it very hard for me to live with myself for liking all your posts to ensure that I remain more unpopular than you, so come award season I get the coveted Most Unpopular BBB Member Award!

Thanks to the latest load of "waa, waa, waa, gimmi gimmi gimmi, we want it but demand you pay for it" etc going on in Oz, particularly from the friends of darkness and foot soldiers of satan known as "the socialist alliance", I happened upon the following from here: http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/d...t-roots-left-wingers-become-incandescent-why/

Leftists become incandescent when reminded of the socialist roots of Nazism

...

Goebbels never doubted that he was a socialist. He understood Nazism to be a better and more plausible form of socialism than that propagated by Lenin. Instead of spreading itself across different nations, it would operate within the unit of the Volk.

...

Hitler told Hermann Rauschning, a Prussian who briefly worked for the Nazis before rejecting them and fleeing the country, that he had admired much of the thinking of the revolutionaries he had known as a young man; but he felt that they had been talkers, not doers. “I have put into practice what these peddlers and pen pushers have timidly begun,” he boasted, adding that “the whole of National Socialism” was “based on Marx”.

Marx’s error, Hitler believed, had been to foster class war instead of national unity – to set workers against industrialists instead of conscripting both groups into a corporatist order. His aim, he told his economic adviser, Otto Wagener, was to “convert the German Volk to socialism without simply killing off the old individualists” – by which he meant the bankers and factory owners who could, he thought, serve socialism better by generating revenue for the state. “What Marxism, Leninism and Stalinism failed to accomplish,” he told Wagener, “we shall be in a position to achieve.”

...

How, as a socialist, can you not be an anti-Semite?” Hitler had asked his party members in 1920

...

Next time you hear Leftists use the word fascist as a general insult, gently point out the difference between what they like to imagine the NSDAP stood for and what it actually proclaimed.

Oz is a democrazy which means we elect representatives. Political parties choose their leaders but those folk are never our leaders or leaders of the country. In a democrazy we lead ourselves as individuals ... Or in our case, by The Quuueeeeen !

.... Who i reckon is doing a fantastic job of staying out of our way and letting you me and the rest of oz lead ourselves as best suits ourselves.

A pity the totalitarians like milne and co cant take the hint and similarly learn to mind their own business ...

That's not true at all though.

If it was, the burden of how people live wouldn't be harder on the poorer than the successful. It's about keeping the poor masses down for the benefit of the rich. Hence why the lower 20% have more of the burden than the top 20%.

Established Parties Rocked by Anti-Europe Vote

LONDON — Members of the European political elite expressed alarm on Monday over the strong showing in European Parliament elections by nationalist and anti-immigrant parties skeptical about European integration, a development described by the French prime minister as an “earthquake.”

In France, Britain and elsewhere, anti-immigrant parties opposed to the influence of the European Union emerged in the lead. In France, the National Front won 26 percent of the vote to defeat both the governing Socialists and the Union for a Popular Movement, the center-right party of former President Nicolas Sarkozy. In Britain, the triumph of the U.K. Independence Party, or UKIP, which won 28 percent of the vote, represented the first time since 1910 that a nationwide vote had not been won by either the Conservatives or Labour.

“The people’s army of UKIP have spoken tonight and delivered just about the most extraordinary result that has been seen in British politics for 100 years,” said Nigel Farage, UKIP’s leader.

BRUSSELS — Euroskeptics celebrated across the continent on Monday, from Britain to France and beyond, over their unmatched success in the European Parliament election. Now they are keen to put up internal borders again, keep foreigners out of their labor markets, abolish the common euro currency and let their nations go it alone in a globalized world

I tell you what, we need more people like you to continue reading Andrew Bolt's blog, as per: http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/...dsun/comments/joe_hockeys_age_of_entitlement/

... which, by the following inclusion, appears to both see and raise a bolder claim about Mr Hockey than you just attempted. :D

BTW, are you aware that Andrew Bolt used to work for / help support the ALP ?

I didn't get it from Bolt, your video is dead, and well perhaps his desperate intolerance for anything of the left is really just the outward manifestation of his need to suppress that part of himself that he feels he must deny expression to.
